“Good value for money”

Les Houches prices are not so stiff as at Chamonix, only 6km away, and this is a good choice for hikers, climbers, skiers interested in a family atmosphere and a good value. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, there's a heated pool, and the proprietors couldn't have been more accomodating.

“Friendly Family-Run Hotel”

The staff at this hotel were friendly, and the rooms were clean. If you're staying in the quiet town on Les Houches, I would certainly recommend this hotel.

“Very Nice for a Reasonable Price”

Very nice. Room was large enough, with 2 balconies. The main balcony had an inner and outer area (inner is for winter?) with a view up the valley and we could see the sunset on the Needles. The patio restaurant was pleasant with a nice view of the mountains and the "meal of the evening" was good. Very good extensive breakfast was included. Pleasant efficient staff. We were hiking the TMB, so it was away from the starting point - only drawback for us.

very nice overall. in the middle of Les Houches so 10min walk from Les Houches slopes and 15min bus from Chamonix slopes. hotel was nice, clean, staff decent enough, breakfast very good.

Very friendly and hospitable staff. Very good location and we were even given a lift to the slopes one day by the manager. The rooms are classic Chamonix and are comfortable. I would definately recommend.

“Very comfortable and good value”

I stayed 8 nights at Hotel Chris-tal for a day-hiking trip. My room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. The restaurant was good with friendly service, and the breakfast buffet was very good. This is certinly an excellent alternative to much more expensive Chamonix hotels, and the village of Les Houches is much more pleasant than over-crowded Chamonix in high season.

Hotel, staff, meals and general location of hotel to slopes was excellent. Bedroom large, roomy and cleaned daily. Breakfast buffet substantial, evening meals varied. Would certainly return to this hotel and resort.

“Friendly family run Hotel near Chamonix”

We needed a friendly, clean, comfortable place to sleep and eat, with good food, and parking, and this was just the ticket. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool after skiing, and watching through the windows as paragliders descended nearby. A short walk from the hotel were other restaurants and a lively pub showing football on sky tv. At night it was quiet in Les Houches and probably easier to get kids to sleep than in a busier place like Chamonix. We would stay here again.

“hotel Chris-Tal”

This hotel is reat for skiing in les houches. Only 1 stop away from Bellevue lift and 3 stops from the prarion lift. Great hotel with nice pool although have to pay for sauna. Food was below par, overcooked and bland but great to stay here.
