“Wonderful hotel in Les Houches!”

Hotel du Bois is a wonderful quaint hotel in Les Houches which my boyfriend and i absolutely enjoyed our stay in. If you're looking for ultra-modern luxury, this hotel isn't for you, but I loved the mountain/nature feel to it which fit perfect especially for its location. Our room was a tad bit small but cozy, yet the bathroom made up for it which surprisingly was huge! Our room/patio also had the view of Mont Blanc's finest, we open the patio doors and the Alps are looming up above us! I also loved their French breakfast buffet; I looked forward to it every morning! Dinner buffet was so-so but we tried their other specials such as the Raclette (I highly recommend) and the Fondue meals. Def worth a try. I do recommend renting a car although you dont really have to because there's free bus (bus stop right down the block, less than 5mins walk) that takes you into the heart of Chamonix-Mont Blanc in about 15 mins or less, as well as to the other mountains for riding/skiing. But we did find out that most of the parking lots of the ski resorts/areas are free so it was a big plus!

A friendly hotel with staff who made you feel welcome. Easy car parking and the indoor pool was a lovely bonus after a day ski-ing.

“Hotel du Bois - would recommend!”

We stayed at the Hotel du Bois last weekend for a long weekend skiing. The hotel was lovely - just what we needed.......highly recommend having the buffet breakfasts and dinners too, as they just set you up perfectly for the day / next day. Wouldn't advise going into Chamonix without a plan to get home - we ended up paying 40 Euros for a taxi back!! Bit of a shock!! The hotel bar was lovely - nice log fire, and the TV showing the Winter Olympics. Only complaint would be the pool, which really was just too cold to go in after a day out on the slopes - we were quite disappointed by this, as we had chosen the hotel for the pool (to relax our aching muscles!!). All in all a very nice trip!

The hotel was very friendly and helpful all the staff spoke english and nothing was too much trouble. They advised and offered discounts on the Mont Blanc Tunnel. The Hotel restaurant offered the best food and value for money in Les Houches and Chamonix. We were so impressed overall we extended our stay.

“Lovely!”

The hotel has lots of character and set against the mountains. We had a car so didn't have to worry about getting around and visited in May so were not there to ski. We had a lovely simple room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. It was quiet and peaceful and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!

The hotel was clean and well maintained. It was very comfortable and a great place to relax after a day skiing. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel and are looking forward to going back!

Recently stayed at this hotel during a skiing trip. I would highly recommend staying here, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel facilities are great it was nice to come back from a day skiing to swim in the pool the take a sauna.The location was also ideal for access to the various ski areas.

Really friendly hotel in ideal location, breakfast was really good, lovely swimming pool, and cosy lounge with fire to relax in after a hard days skiing. Highly recommended.

My partner and I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and its staff, people, food, room all of it was brilliant. The receptionists were extremely helpful, I recommend this hotel to anyone.
