“Superb hotel but very poor casino end of hotel”

Accom-Superb experience !!!friendly helpful staff- nothing was too much trouble. Dining experience was wonderful, beautiful grounds and thoughtfully decorated and furnished inside- magic! Disappointing - casino staff and casino dining was far below expectation and was not a plus for this hotel. Casino entry staff were unfriendly and one felt like a criminal at the point of where our identity was being checked- drivers licence was not enough ID initially despite the hotel staff indicating so - turned away and then on next visit ,upon presenting passport staff were again unfriendly almost yo the point of rudeness- would definitely not go to the casino part ever again!!! Casino dining was very poor. One female staff member was nice but food quality and choice was poor and even though iced coffee was on menu and order placed we were then told no it was not available, even though early dining. Male staff member with rolled up long sleeved shirt. Suggest that the casino end of things be SERIOUSLY UPGRADED or you run the risk of the reputation of this fine venue and staff being impugned. Obviously the hotel proper staff are intelligent and well trained in service delivery- this should apply to the casino if promoted as part of the hotel.

“L'imperial palace hotel annecy”

I don't normally bother with reviews because they are often biased by unreliastic expectations but this this hotel warrants an exception. Having been fortunate enough to have stayed in some prestigious hotels around the world, for the price we paid, this ranked among the best. Having recently been renovated the hotel is in excellent condition inside and out and the rooms are particularly well appointed. I just can't understand anyone criticising this place for any reason at all. Take just this one example. There is nothing more irritating than arriving at a supposedly luxury hotel to find no complimentary tea and coffee facilities and you've got to phone and beg some surly idiot to bring you something to drink, that is invariably tepid at best by the time it arrives. Not here! Even the mini bar was free - no kidding! No alcoholic stuff in their but anything else you could possibly want to quench your thirst. We didn't eat in the hotel only because we wanted to see the old town in the evening but the restaurants looked on par with the rest if the hotel. No trying to spiv even more money out of the guest by charging for parking or anything like that either. Some of the other chains could learn a lot from whoever runs this place. Fantastic.

I originally booked for 3 nights a standard double room for my wife and I and our two year old daughter for a birthday celebration. We were given the hotels biggest suite for the same price. Stunning lake and mountain views from two private rooftop terraces, sauna, jacuzzi, kitchen, 3 tvs and music all Bang and Olufsen. King size bed. It was a wonderful experience considering we had stretched our budget for the original standard room which was less than 25% of the cost of this stay. Thank you to the hotel and Expedia.

“Beautiful views”

Very nice hotel with beautiful lake views. A little out of town- but nice walk along the lakeside. Excellent service from all the staff. Very peaceful and quiet.

“Not impressed with the service in the restaurant”

The hotel was comfortable and clean, but despite my booking being for a 'terrace lake view', I was on the 6th floor with a tiny balcony (I did have a view of the lake). They had put me in a suite, but as I was travelling alone, paid the extra to have private outside seating I was disappointed, and there were no terrace rooms available. It is a great location right on the lake, and easy walk into town. The attitiude of one of the maitre d's was miserable, and the food was average. I have never before had overcooked lamb in France, usually have to send it back so that it is warmed through. Not worth the money, and I won't stay there again.

“A 4 Star hotel? Reaching for 2 Stars”

This Hotel needs a major overhaul to be 4 stars. The rooms are small and the service is totaly lacking. The location and view are the only redeemable feature.
