“Fantastic Place to Visit”

The hotel is in a perfect location. We had a view of Mont Blanc and our room overlooked a beautiful field. We were 2 minutes walk from town. The pool was lovely and made for a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon. Overall our experience here was wonderful and we can't wait to go back for a visit in the snow. Would highly recommend this hotel!

“Would Stay Again”

We booked this hotel as part of our honeymoon and were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us and gave us a bottle of champagne. Service was friendly and helpful, much better than the other four star hotels we stayed at in France. DVD movies are included in the stay as well as a nice Turkish bath. It's slightly outside but within walking distance of the centre of Chamonix, which we liked as we enjoyed a bit of nature beside us instead of the concrete of downtown, and the view of the mountains is amazing. The full kitchen is very handy, and the grocery store is only a five minute walk away.

“Perfect, great location”

Hotel was in a great location, 5 min walk to centre ville. Brevant ski lift was ski in - out, so that was nice too. Underground parking was key also, as parking in Chamonix is tough. Room was very big with everything we needed. Will definitely go back.

“The Ideal Location”

The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Chamonix with easy walking access to the town centre. All the Reception staff were welcoming and informative. The apartment was roomy and well equipped and overall provided great value. We intend to return next year.

“The Best of Both Worlds - apartment and hotel”

The situation of this wonderful hotel is ideal - it looks out on a large field with uninterrupted views of the alps from your balcony. IT's just a short walk into the center of town but it feels like you are a little removed from the frenzied tourists and vehicle traffic. The apartment is quite comfortable with lots of glass and doors leading out onto the balcony from the living room and the bedroom. THe decor is rustic but fresh. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bed is comfortable. The television is a modern flatscreen. My only complaint would be the convertible couch in the living room. While I didn't use it as a bed, it was unacceptable as a couch. But the view alone is worth staying here. The complex is somewhat cavernous and maze-like but the staff are helpfyul, cheerful and very knowledgable about the area. The hotel offers all of the amenities you would expect and more. But you also get the comforts of a fully furnished apartment where you can spread out and enjoy your stay.

“What a view!”

Stayed at Résidence Les Balcons du Savoy in the 1st week of July 2007.Weather had been bad but Cham was bathed in warm sunshine when we arrived.We were early but the staff were great and let us check in right away.We had a 4/5 person 1 bedroom apartment (with lounge and kitchen) on the 5th floor overlooking the amazing Mont Blanc.Immediately hooked we sat on the huge balcony and drank in the view!Amazing!Apartment was generously furnished although the kitchen was a little worn at the edges.Having completed our inventory (all spoons present and correct!) we ventured into town. The centre is just 5 mins on foot. Cham has it all! Great views, people, restaurants, shops and nice bars. We loved it. The people are very friendly, even the waiters! So unlike Paris! We were there just before the French holiday season began (14 July - Bastille Day onwards) and the place was just about perfect in terms of numbers of people. Attractions were easy to access whereas peak season can be very busy.Some rain during the week, closely followed by snow on the higher slopes!A little unusual for July but not unheard of so be prepared.The weather forecast is posted in the reception each day and it was very accurate.For the most part the weather was fine.Used the indoor pool once but really it was too small for any meaningful swimming.The underground car park was handy and there are self laundry facilities should you need them.In all a great stay and a great location.Will definitely stay again.
