Pros: Room size good also room was clean.
Cons: No just, main ladies toilets behind reception as above, staff coverage and room temp.
Location: we only stayed one night therefore did'nt go out locally.
All OK apart from ladies toilets on ground floor, clean but from arrival very poor flushing system, often l had to try and flush away previous occupants waste before l could go NOT VERY NICE. After l had used the toilet again l had to flush flush flush for the waste to go. Oh not enough staff to cover both bars, often the bar with conservatory was not staffed. We were across the road, no problem apart from it was very very warm, one radiator in the hall could not be turned off, yes we did open room windows.. I don't know if the over guest commented, but verbally they did to me. I write the above because these could put people off returning which would be a shame.

Road NoisePosted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: The food and the staff in the restaurant were wonderful
Cons: See above concerning the noise
Location: We stayed for a family party so did not go out and about
The room was fine and the hotel staff were friendly and pleasant but I think that when booking a room it needs to be clearly defined about the road noise. I understand that rooms at the side and the back of the hotel have less noise but the room that me and my partner stayed in was the noisiest hotel room that I have ever stayed in. We got approximately 3 hours sleep if that. As the weather was warm we had to have the window open but the noise from the main road was deafening throughout the night to the point that we had to close it but then spend the rest of the night sweating. There should maybe therefore be air conditioning in the front rooms of the hotel this would then allow the windows to be closed to keep out the noise of the traffic, even with the windows closed though it was still audible. We checked out at 7 am in the morning because we could no longer relax.

Cute basic hotelPosted May 27, 2014
Great helpful receptionist, breakfast option not very good at all and averagely priced (you get a better breakfast getting your own at tesco down the road), room cleaner awful - didn't change our bedsheets or our towels, the price for two nights was £130 which wasn't worth it to be honest but happy to pay this as had no other option really. I would say the reception staff is the best, the bathroom was nice but smellt bad, very minimal and small room but served the purpose for somewhere to sleep. Would have paid maximum of £40/night for the ro

nice small hotel in RomfordPosted May 4, 2014
nice en-suite rooms and very close to the main hotel, where we had a wedding to attend. Breakfast a bit on the pricey side at 10.50 so didn't bother. Parking very tight so be careful as dented our car against the very high decking !

Not great at all!Posted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: Not a thing!
Cons: All of the above problems!
Location: I work in Romford and its a great area for shopping and also for bars and clubs.
I have to say that I am not happy for a few reasons, my husband and I stayed at the Harefield manor on the 11th September in room 308. I used to work in the restaurant when it was called the coach house (when I was a teenager) I thought the hotel was in the same building but was across the road. Not a problem. We got into the room (after having to collect the remote from reception) there was mould in the shower, the skirting boards looked dirty, I was under the impression that we would have a double room instead it was 2 twin beds put together so I couldn't even lay next to my husband without one of us laying in the crack! Being in room 308 was a nightmare all we heard all night was the front door slamming! At one point there was a group of what sounded like teenagers running in and out laughing and then another guest having a conversation with a Chinese delivery. I honestly felt like we were in a youth hostel. The worst thing happened in the morning around 7 o'clock the house keepers walked in!!! No knocking just walked in saw us asleep and then left. This is unacceptable!

Weekend awayPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Bathroom very clean
Cons: Heat of rooms
Location: excellent location
The hotel was very easy to find and was quite near to the station, so a 20 mins train ride and you were in London. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The only down side for us was, it was so warm and our room was on the ground floor so we could not open the window very far. I enquired about a fan for the room, but was told they did not have any. So we did not sleep very well at all. The beds are very comfortable though. Also the windows of the room are quite close to each other and as everyone had their windows open we could hear the people in adjacent rooms. (this was a little off putting at 3 in the morning when they came in and were making love)

Very Good Family Hotel.Posted May 1, 2013
Pros: Very Private with ample parking.
Location: The Hotel is split with 'Part 2' across the road, this is however of no Inconvienence. Also very near too Centre of Romford.
Reception was friendly and customer focused, The room was very good and very clean and well stocked with T & Coffee making sundries. The Housekeeping staff were a credit to the Hotel.
