“Jay”

Great location with reasonable price. Service was crap but tried to solve the problem. 1. They gave me a key for a room where already a girl was staying when I opened the room, that is unacceptable. 2. They charged my credit card (and still have my CC info when I called after 7 days), although I already paid by expedis. However after phone conversation with them and expedia, they reversed back the fee (they have to). But, who keep track of the CC all the time and annoying that after 7 days, they still have my CC info. Location and price is the best. However, place is little shaddy. For one night may be OK, but not for staying more or not may be for family visit because even in non smoking room, it smells like smoking and suffocating.

“You get what you pay for....”

We were looking for a less expensive hotel to stay in while we attended our son's graduation from the Army / APG. With a low price per night and the Super 8 chain name, I knew we wouldn't be getting deluxe accommodations, but I was not really impressed. It worked, but I wouldn't stay again. Close enough to APG, a little further to Edgewood. Good proximity to major highways. Not many restaurants in the area other than Waffle House and McDonalds. For sure, none within walking distance. Check in was okay. No elevator and all rooms require at least a small flight of stairs (5-6 steps down to level 1, where we were). Once in the room you could tell it was an older facility, but it did appear to be clean. The in-room fridge didn't work. The heater unit was loud and cycled on and off every 20 seconds (no exaggeration!). The holder for the hair dryer was there, but no hair dryer. The room could have used some painting/upgrades - - light switch panels were discolored. Water pressure in showers was low - - or maybe it was the shower head. Not sure. When we asked about fixing the fridge and heater unit, or being moved to another room, there was another guest asking about the same things in his room. Nice area. Just an older hotel. Super 8 has always been good enough for us, but this one we probably wouldn't stay in again.

“Won't stay there again”

Substandard is an understatement. Key didn't work the whole time we were there. Beds were uncomfortable. Room had a musty smell. We checked out a day early & unreasonable owner made us pay for the extra day. Luckily Expedia made it right when we complained. Havre de Grace is a lovely town, but we'd rather stay in our car.

“Very Convenient”

we needed a place to stay while passing through the area, and were looking for something convenient and reasonably priced. We were well pleased. It couldn't have been better. Neat and clean. We would highly recommend it.

“will do in a jam”

room was clean and cozy but when heading east on higway had to pay a toll for 3 days.Would have been nice to have that info before booking room.No decent places to eat unless you want fast food.Overall stay was nice and comfortable.

“Charming Town...Bargain”

Havre de Grace is a picturesque town. Slow pace. I love this hotel for economy and convenience.

“Nice, basic place to stay”

No frills... basic coffee and bagel breakfast "bar". Room was clean and area was quiet. Only drawback is lack of elevators, but if you don't have a lot of luggage to carry up two floors, it's not a problem. Great for a one-night stay for the money.

“Good place to stay”

The room was clean and well maintained. The area was fun to visit.

“My place at the Chesapeake Bay!”

This motel is so convenient to Havre de Grace and the Tidewater Marina that I'm using it every time I go sailing.
