“peaceful stay”
We stayed in the Sushi cottage,it was clean, quiet and private.A very nice stay for our 25th wedding anniversary.
“Aloha Place Review”
Quite comfortable but found the room to feel damp. There is no heat in the room and the issue here appears to be humidity. Warm blankets helped to make the room satisfactory.
“Fantastic place to stay”
We stayed in the Sushi Cottage which provided us with a good sized lounge/diner as well as a really comfy bedroom. The cottage was clean and cosy and the staff friendly and very helpful. The location was fantastic for exploring the Volcano National Park and close to the local amenities of Volcano Village. We were really pleased with our choice!
“Great value for money and very private.”
Fantastic place for a private romantic getaway as you don't see a soul there... but if you are looking for human interaction, advice on local spots, or even breakfast, this is not the place for you. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the sheets scratchy. The room was not cleaned or made up during my stay. Again, great if you want your privacy. Many plus points: Very quaint and pretty, very close to Volcano stores and restaurants as well as the Volcanoes National Park. Extensive DVD/video collection which comes in useful as there is zero nightlife in Volcano. They also provide wine glasses, bottle opener, fridge, coolers, umbrellas, slippers, coats, and free basic internet for email in the library (You can't youtube or open your email attachments). All in all, I would recommend as great value for money.
“Adequate for the locality.”
The inn was comfortable and the inn keeper friendly and apologetic for having forgotten to leave out the materials for self-check in.
“Good hotel for the price at a nice location”
This is a nice quite bed-n-breakfast in volcano village at 5min drive from the volcano national park entrance. Accessible distance from breakfast places and grocery stores - the whole town ain't that big to begin with. If you want a nice quite place to stay near volcano national park...I would recommend this one. The room was decently furnished with TV and a dehumidifier (you'll need that to keep your room dry in the rainy weather). No heater in the room but I don't think it's necessary for the temperatures you see here anyway. Overall, we were very satisfied with our 2 night stay here.

“Fine way to visit Volcano National Park”
Very quaint local inn in an old large mansion, "Sushi Cottage" is cute and comfortable. Nice to have extra room. Remember, it's in a rain forrest so dampness is part of the experience anywhere you go in Volcano.
“Completely beyond our expectations.”
It's really cold at night this time in volcano village. But the host prepared thick and comfortable quilt so we had great sleep there. There also have dehumidifier, mat, beach towels, flashlight, poncho, straw hat, and almost everything we need in the room. We really enjoy our stay there!
“Cozy and charming”
Very nice and cozy place to stay (we just stayed there one night)
