Quiet B&B in the rainforest

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Location: It's a great place to start day-trips exploring Volcano National Park and the southern part of Big Island.
Great breakfast, quiet room, and beautiful rainforest atmosphere.

Horrible experience

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Cons: The bed and the rudeness of GARY, the owner.
The owner is the rudest person. Never willing to make his guests happy always making them feel is a burden for him. The worst part was the bed. The second night my neck and back hurt so much I slept on the floor since it was better than the horrible bed. It was a nightmare!!! Would never stay here again even if they pay me!

Comfortable property, close to Volcano Park

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Location: Be sure to spend some time at night in the National Park at the lookout by the Jagger Museum looking at the orange glow from a 2008 eruption.
This is a tasteful, comfortable, modern property in quiet Volcano, just a few minutes drive from the entrance to the National Park. The host, Gary, is a great guy. And I really appreciated the extra touches in my room: the elegant fireplace (it may be Hawaii, but a fireplace surprisingly useful on cool evenings/mornings in the mountains), the towel warmers, and the CDs with soothing local music. About the only negative thing I can say is that it is, in the end, a house: be prepared to clearly hear young children in other rooms who may be up before the crack of dawn. But, overall, a great place to spend a night or two.

In the jungle

Posted May 19, 2014
The cottage was very secluded. It really gave us the "Hawaii" feel, and everyone else visiting was extremely friendly and fun to talk to. We enjoyed the host, Gary and loved his breakfast. This location is very convenient to the Volcano areas. Highly recommended.

Excellent spot to base your trip to the volcano

Posted May 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Gary did everything he could think of and then some to make our stay delightful. Enjoyed the hot tub and the gazebo, both good spots to view the beautiful surroundings. Fire place in room was enjoyed on the one cool evening we had. Breakfast was good and Gary was available to answer questions about the locale, volcano and island. Host even had a CD tour of the park that he loaned us. Excellent spot to base your trip to see the volcano.

The inn is very cozy. Beds were comfortable. Nice and clean. Not a lot of room to put your stuff but we made do. We would definetly stay here again. The breakfast was fantastic. Met lots of nice people. The man who runs the bed and breakfast,Gary is his name, is so nice and helpful. The view is beautiful.

Lovely Location for Visiting Volcano National Park

Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: The new owner, Gary, is warm and welcoming. Everything is very clean with lots of attention to detail.
Cons: Nothing!
Location: A short drive to the park entrance, with a few coffee shops and restaurants in the town of Volcano nearby.
We stayed in the Enchanted Forest Studio for three nights. The weather was damp and rainy, but we were cozy with a heated bed, gas fireplace, kettle and a nice selection of tea. The room had a balcony, bathroom with nice toiletries, nice bedding, and a microwave. Breakfast was in the main house and included "papaya boats" and a good selection of bagels, English muffins, and plenty of Big Island coffee. Guests from all over the world shared a meal together at a large round table. Little extras like flashlights were provided for visiting the park at night (which everyone does to see the volcano).

Very nice B&B in the middle of the jungle

Posted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: the surrounding jungle, the breakfast, the location, the service, the cleanness, the bed warming device
Location: great location, 5min drive away from the Hawaii volcanoes national park. There you could spend two or more days! 40min drive to Hilo &green sand beach
This B&B is just 5min drive away from the Hawaii volcanoes national park. A very charming gentlemen checked us in & made breakfast. These breakfasts were heaven! The rooms are on two properties with a lot of privacy. Our room was completely made out of cedar wood & smelled great. It had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom
