Great placePosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Was very clean and the staff was wonderful.
Cons: Nothing really, we had a great experience.
Location: The boys went snorkeling and boggie boarding almost every day and near by beaches. Shopping was about 15 minutes away.
This place was amazing. My husband and our three boys went and wasn't pleasantly surprised by the place. The pictures do not do it justice. We will definately stay here again and tell our family and friends. We did a Costco run so we didn't have to eat out every meal. They have everything you need to eat in or barbecue.

Not an ideal locationPosted Jun 4, 2014
The room was nice, but this location gets a lot of rain. The pools are small. It is also a long drive to any attractions.

Location: Away from major hotels. Quiet location. Located conveniently near to drug store, grocery store & restaurants. Near historical sites.
Enjoyed the quiet location away from major hotels yet close to convenience stores. Friendly and helpful staff.

Big Island SurprisePosted May 26, 2014
This stay was so beautiful and spacious. There were fountains, waterfalls and beautiful gardens. There were well maintained grilling areas, pools and hot tubs to be enjoyed. This is the first place I have ever been where there was a Hoyer lift at the pool for handicap visitors. The room was clean comfortable and very inviting. The staff was so welcoming giving directions, and area information. The first night we went to the front desk and were told about a welcome event held on Tuesdays. We loved it. Delicious local food and a true Hawaiian Halau. The instructor was so informative and loved her students like a family. It was obvious they returned her feelings in the great respect they showed to her. I have been in Hawaii for 4 years and that was aloha in action. The music was played and sang by the instructor and students using local instruments. We felt truly welcomed to the Big Island in style. I think we were both taken back when we left and the girl at the desk asked what they could have done to make our stay better. We had no reply except keep on doing it exactly like you are it was perfect.

very nice property, super nice peoplePosted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: people, work out room, location
Cons: we are kitchen "snobs" so although the kitchen was well stocked, we would have liked a little better cookware but most people would think it was good.
Location: Farmers market - sheraton on the bay adjacent to the property - good for Manta Ray show - worth the overpriced Rays on the Bay on those nights.
really nice resort with large condos and well stocked kitchens - plenty of room to stretch out and have some family togetherness and some privacy. beautifully kept grounds - don't miss the farmers market next door on Wednesday and Saturday - very nice. Fantastic cute hula show on Tuesday nights with some fantastically talented local kids - we were skeptical about going but were lured by free snacks - so glad we went - one of the highlights of our trip seeing the kids hula and play traditional hawaiian drums.

Nice, convenient hotelPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Pretty spacious and comfortable.
Cons: The pillow was lumpy and too high for my liking.
Location: Very convenient location, close to small shops and grocery store as well as a nice restaurant.
The condo was very comfortable and roomy with many amenities. The only bit of inconvenience was the uncomfortable pillow on my bed, which was rather minor.

Large rooms with wonderful staffPosted Jan 7, 2014
Pros: Very roomy and clean with free parking.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Holua Resort. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They provided all the extras we needed - our villa was spacious and allowed us to prepare meals and save money on dining out. The location was extremely convenient to snorkeling and beach locations.

Great South Kona location and a great valuePosted Jan 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here with my wife, daughter and her friend in late December for 2 days at the end of a 10 day HI vacation. Booked it long ago at a great rate for a 2BR condo, and overall we were very pleased. The location was perfect for us: quiet with a nice view of the ocean from the 2nd floor deck, yet close enough to Kailua-Kona and all the West coast has to offer. The room was very clean and spacious, and a great value for the price. Highly recommended!
