Spacious Accomodations

Posted Jul 14, 2013
Pros: Incredibly spacious for a family of five.
Cons: Update kitchen and bathrooms
Spacious accommodations. Friendly staff. Very few people on property (probably because majority of homes are owned). Could use a little updating in the kitchen and bathrooms (looks like built in the late 90s) but a very clean and wonderful luxury town home nonetheless. Property was not overcrowded. The units next to us were not occupied for our entire stay.

Top quality condo

Posted Jun 28, 2013
Pros: Immaculate accommodation...
Location: 15m north of Kona, you need a hire car and don't use Dollar!
Daily cleaning service provided for top quality accommodation within 50 yards of shared pool and a comfortable walk/short drive to crystal clear sea and white sands. Brilliant for snorkeling! Watch out for mosquitos though....

Beautiful facility

Posted Apr 19, 2013
Pros: A garage, clean and well appointed facility. The 2 bedrooms were nearly the same, deciding which couple was no problem. Each bedroom had a full bath.
Cons: It was 2 floors
Location: The condo was well located and easy to get too.
It was great to return to a clean condo every afternoon. The management was very positive when I requested or needed help.

Islands at Mauna Lani, "No Ka Oi" = The very best

Posted Apr 9, 2013
Pros: Roomy, peaceful, quiet, secluded, close to everything in Mauna Lani.
Cons: The appliances are top of the line but dated.
Location: Primo location! Right in the middle of Mauna Lani.
This place is awesome! It is so beautiful and peaceful. We have traveled to The Big Island many times and have found this condo to be the best there is. Privacy, your own garage. Our family likes to spread out and this place allows us the chance to do just that. Highly rated!!

Comfortable and peaceful

Posted Apr 3, 2013
Pros: Uncrowded, quiet development in a very large, beautiful resort area. Very private.
Location: Good location for touring Kohala and Kona. Nice beaches on the property and nearby. Petroglyphs better than those in Volcanoes National Park.
Unusually large vacation condo. Daily housekeeping and laundry room in the unit were big pluses. Somewhat dated (kind of a 1990 thing going on), but very well maintained. Lots of nicely landscaped space between properties within the resort. Nice restaurants in resort hotels. Resort staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. Resort office was hard to find for checking in. Would be helpful if a resort map and check-in instructions were emailed prior to trip.

Wonderful Hawaiian Experience

Posted Mar 19, 2013
Pros: Clean, relaxing, friendly, well-equipped
Location: Near resort shops and facilities
This "hotel" was a well maintained, well furnished, fully equipped townhouse/condo. The daily housekeeping staff were delightful and friendly, and the ladies at the resort desk were very informative and helpful. The grounds of this complex are beautiful and made for a relaxing, Hawaiian experience. I would recommend this resort to families, couples or groups who desire a quiet, low-key, relaxing vacation.

Very spacious

Posted Nov 30, 2012
Pros: lot's of space, very quiet golf course area
Cons: drive about a mile to private beach - but they will take you on a shuttle if you call.
Location: Duplex-style homes in neighborhood along the golf course. Long walking distance to little outdoor mall-maybe you could cut through the golf course?
Really great, large space with private balconies and lani for a two-story, two full bedroom condo. The matress in the master really needed to be replaced, but we turned in around and made do with backs for a couple days. We will let them know. It really was a spacious and inviting place. We made a wonderful Thanksgiving meal in the large kitchen, spread out all over the living room, and had plenty of space in both bedrooms. The full laundry room was handy too. We even had a wild hen turkey come on to the lani on Thanksgiving!

Wish we had stayed longer

Posted Aug 13, 2012
Pros: clean, relaxing, condo had plenty of space, comfortable, beautiful sunset
Cons: distance to Volcano National Park
We booked a 3 bed condo and when we arrived we were told our room did not have internet services. We asked for a condo with internet access and arrangements were made to have one cleaned for us immediately without any hassle. The condo we had did not overlook the golf course but instead had an amazing sunset. A beautiful sunset can also be captured by walking 3 minutes on the path left of the beach. We are a family of 6 with 3 teenagers and there was plenty of room and space for all of us. The washer and dryer were large which was very useful. The condo and setting were incredible and the entire resort area is very well kept, relaxing and peaceful. The entire family preferred this island and resort over Waikiki, Honolulu. It is a 20 minute drive to Kona or 2.5-3 hours away from the Volcano National Park. Although there is a beach on the resort, Hapuna State Beach Park was a five minute drive away which had a longer beach and higher waves. It is just about 1.5 hrs to the Mauna Kea visitor Station which was definitely worth going to for the star gazing between 6-10 pm. We had asked if we could check out at 1.30 pm and that was no problem whatsoever. We were here for 5 nights and my only regret is that we did not stay longer!!
