Very roomy condo for our family vacation.

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Overall roominess, bedrooms, bathrooms, location
Cons: The carpet throughout the condo is quite dated, could use replacement.
Location: Swimming, snorkeling, shopping, golfing, tennis.
This large condo had everything that we were looking for. We enjoyed the location as a home base for all of our island activities. This complex is approximately 20 miles up the coast from the airport and about 8 miles up the mountain from the coast. The condo we had was very peaceful and overlooked the Waikoloa Village Golf Course. The up/down split level condo had 2 bedrooms upstairs along with 2 bathrooms and laundry facilities. The downstairs had a small bonus room, another bathroom and also the fully equipped kitchen and living room. We found it very roomy for our group of 4 adults.

nice hotel, excellent price

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Price could not be beat! Full kitchen made it easy for me to make breakfast and snacks. The units remind me of apartment complexes.
Cons: Older building with older styles.
Location: Groceries nearby, excellent breakfast cafe and Italian dinner restaurant within walking. Need a car to get to the beach.
Older hotel, very clean and well equipped. all units are two bed, two bath, so you can go with friends and have plenty of privacy. Full kitchens allows you to save money on meals. Washer and dryer in each unit so you don't have to bring dirty clothes home. The staff is very friendly and helpful when planning any activities. Nothing special so if you want more bling and glitz then you can go to one of the big places on the beach.

Lava, Grass and Mountain views

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Remote, but with a KTA 3 minutes away you're able to keep your kitchen stocked.
Cons: Check out time was 10----changed to 11 upon request. 10 a little early
Location: Drive to Waikaloa coast and enjoy eating/drinking at the various resorts. Drive to Waimea and experience the small town atmosphere.
Not too far from the Waikaloa coasts resorts (15 minute drive), but with a view of the golf course, Kohala mountains and the nice breezes it's a great bargain. Amenities are just what you need to have a great stay for a reasonable price.

Very large apartment with everything you need!

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Many amenities and nice touches (eg, free parking, coffee and tea provided)
Cons: GPS co-ordinates for ease of finding.
Location: Lovely beaches nearby. Right next to the freeway!
Although this hotel is a few miles further than our sat nav told us, we eventually found it after just continuing for a few miles. It would be difficult to stay at without a car. We were surprised that even though we had booked for 2 people, we had an apartment with 2 beds, 2 baths, a kitchen with loads for things (pots, pans, utensils), balconies, tvs, beach towels. Everything you could need! We highly recommend this apartment, we wish we had booked a few for days stay!

For the most part of my stay, AC don't work at all, and image that, it's summer in Hawaii. Once AC is fixed, it starts to leaking water. Besides that, WIFI never worked during my stay.

a nice stay

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Good location. Nice size rooms for families.
Cons: The shower heads in both bathrooms did not give good water pressure. Check out time of 10am is too early.
Location: A supermarket and gas station are very close.
Nice location, close to a supermarket. There are different size villas which are good for families needing two or three rooms. The villa was a nice size for our family. Our teenagers each had their own room, which can make a big difference (for all) in the enjoyment of the trip. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice home away from home!

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Took my kids for a weekend getaway from rainy old Hilo! Great rate, large rooms, lots of space for kids! We will definitely be back for our next staycation!! Pool is on the smaller side, but there are great beaches within a 10-15 min drive!
