Great family HotelPosted Oct 13, 2014
We chose this hotel for its family friendly atmosphere and were not disappointed. The pool and waterslide were a huge hit along either the kids club.

close to the jetty for manta ray snorkelingPosted Oct 12, 2014
Good for older kids (water slide), no beach but close to good snorkelling beaches. Lunch was over priced and very ordinary (better & cheaper next door). Dinner was ok. I'd expect better food from the Sheraton. large resort, but we didn't see many people - which was nice.

Nice stay for a night on the Big IslandPosted Oct 10, 2014
Beautiful views, hertz rental car on site, if you are not coming for the iron man triathlon, do not come to the big island the first week in October or make sure you book everything a car and hotel in advance. All major hotels are at least 15-30 mins from Kona airport. They have a shuttle that will take you to the Sheraton for a good price. The Sheraton doesn't have a free shuttle from the airport. The Waikola Beach Marriott was a better experience and a couple bucks cheaper, but both are nice hotels.

A place to TransitionPosted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: The swimming, the location and the Staff!
Cons: The beds, the water pressure and its time to repaint the rooms!
Location: Our time was coming to an end, so our stay at Kona Sheraton was all about a day of doing nothing but lay by the pool, swim and go down the slide!
Our final night on the Big Island. Our adventure had been rustic, local and filled with days of ocean snorkling and fresh mahi mahi. As well, we had covered many miles on the road exploring the gems of the Big Island. We decided to settle on the Sheraton for our final night. It was our hope to experience the Hotel side of Hawaii..tiki lights, my first mai tai, swimming pools with waterfalls and tunnel slides and ocean views with crashing waves. We were not disappointed. As well, the Sheraton took care of us thru the day with their hospitality suite while we waited for our 11 pm departure home!

Nice hotel looking over the beachPosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: the manta rays were the best
Valet gentlemen were very friendly upon arrival. The view when you walk into the hotel is breathtaking! Our rooms were nice, did have a bug in the early morning. We had a mountain view. One evening we were excited to see the manta rays in the cove, totally awesome! Was disappointed that the pool closed at 8:00pm, seemed rather early for a resort hotel. Would keep this hotel in mind for future visit.

Nice. Older hotel. Only downer, food = 0 out 5Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The sunsets. The pool.
Cons: Paint cracking in bathroom. DEFINITELY FIX THE FOOD EXPERIENCE!!!
Location: Go in to town. Farmers markets are awesome.
Great location. Ocean view room only way to go. Room service food - served in to-go containers and a paper bag?!?! SPEECHLESS!! Rays on The Bay food disappointing too. Can't beat the view though!

Nice poolPosted Oct 6, 2014
We stayed here for our honeymoon and they upgraded our room and gave us 2 free drinks to use at Rays on the Bay. Which has delicious food, live music, and Manta Rays in the ocean are always around.
