“Welcome Surprise for the $”
Quiet cozy location for folks looking to be close to the volcano. Awesome.
“Great place to stay while visiting Volcano National Park.”
We enjoyed the quiet, surrounding rain forest, and sleek contemporary openness of this gem of an inn. We stayed in the very spacious king suite, with its own porch, walk in closet, and views of wild ginger. The breakfasts were great - fresh fuits, and wonderful baked goods made fresh each day by the innkeepers. The almond cake was fantastic and I consider myself lucky to have gotten the recipe! The table was always beautifully set, with wonderful fresh flowers.
“WONDERFUL B&B”
When I booked the Volcano Forest Inn I could not imagine which kind of place I was going to get. It is located at few minutes driving from the entrance of the Volcano National Park in a beautiful forest. The place is really beautiful and quitel. The room and the bathroom were big and extremely clean. I was impressed!!!! In this area it rains a lot and for the toilet and the shower they use recycle the raining water which I find a great idea to be ecological. The B&B is run by a very nice dedicated couple. They cook in lovely way making you to feel at home. If you are traveling in the Big Island you can't miss to spend one night here. By the way there is another hotel at the end of the road called Volcano Inn. Dont' get confused. This Volcano Forest Inn.
“Little hidden jewel”
Helpful host. Excellent full made to order breakfast.
“A serene and restful bed and breakfast”
This is a lovely bed an breakfast in a beautiful, serene and convenient setting. The place is lovely, quiet, spotlessly clean and surrounded by beautiful trees and birds. The hosts are friendly and attentive. The breakfast was enjoyable. The hosts are into being green and had delightful soap and shampoo. There is access from each room to an outside deck.
“A cozy place to stay!”
We were happy from the minute we drove up and we were greeted by Caroline. The rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable. We stayed in the room with a king bed and had a lovely lanai overlooking the most beautiful forest of ginger plants and purple flowers. We felt like we were at home. Will go back again!
“family guest type hotel”
The hotel is located in the wood. No sign says "Volcano Forest Inn" on the street to get in the road to hotel. I lost more than half hour that area. Local people were very nice to help me to find the hotel. Hotel was very new and clean. And service was very kind. We needed more hot water to take bath (hot water was just warm).
“Cool Location!”
The jungle was right outside of our room.
“Bery Nice B&B”
Really, a great B&B. There were three couples in our group. Drew and Niecy were very nice-pleasant and informative, but not intrusive. ( Be sure and ask them about their previous career as Marilyn and Brando). They told of us a great place for breakfast at the National Park. With the time zone difference, we were up VERY early, but Drew baked a fabulous walnut cake to tide us over and prepped the coffee machine so it was ready in just a minute. Rooms were fabulous. The only drawback to the inn is that there was not an indoor common seating area other than at the dining table-but we had a great time sitting on the porch. The weather here can be quite cool in the evening, so bring a jacket or sweater.
