"Great resort hotel on beautiful beach"
We stayed for 7 days and used many of the hotel amenities. Our room had a beautiful view of the hotel grounds and the ocean. We had a great spot for many gorgeous sunsets. Many breakfast and dinners were enjoyed in the various venues at the hotel. We also took advantage of the exercise facility which is a brief walk away.

Great experience and place to stay! The pool is awesome, we were able to watch whales out in the ocean from our lawn chairs.. The hotel location is close to everything (5 minute drive to Turtle Beach), and the Farmers Market on Wednesdays is located in the hotel's additional parking space.

"Very Nice Hotel"
Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our stay at Hilton. We both love the Lagoon and the pool and the easy access to the beach. I also love their Dolphin Quest and the parrots that they have at the lobby of the hotel. The staffs are all nice and friendly; always ready to help you.

"Tropical, peaceful, off the beaten path"
We loved this quiet resort, not hectic or touristy but easy drive to beaches, restaurants, shopping. A special thank you to Britney & Judy for honoring our request for ground level along the golf course. We enjoy watching the golfers and turkeys roaming around! This is our 4th stay and we will definitely return.

"Family getaway."
We booked last minute and it was easy. There were five of us and they gave us a 3 bedroom instead of the 2 bedroom we paid for. We loved the historic old plantation feel of it. They called ahead and gave us directions and made it feel very personable. Michael found church times for us.

    Where to stay in Hawaii

    Big Island Hotel Guide

Richardson’s Ocean Park - Head the black-sand beaches of Richardson’s Ocean Park. This spot in the Hilo region boasts rock pools and surf spots. Kids can play in the pools, which are protected by a natural seawall, while experienced surfers can shred up the break. Don’t miss a tour of the Richardson family home, which was built along the shore in the 1920s.

Akaka Falls - The Akaka Falls State Park features two of Hawaii’s most noteworthy waterfalls: Kahuna Falls and Akaka Falls. Kahuna Falls is 100-feet tall, while Akaka Falls is an impressive 442 feet. Visitors can walk along the half-mile paved trail to arrive at these majestic waterfalls in the middle of the rain forest.
