Overnight stayPosted Nov 30, 2013
We decided to get a hotel room around Long Beach/Lakewood area at the last minute and went to expedia. I didn't want to spend that much on the room since we were gonna be staying out for most of the day anyways. The big name hotels were expensive and very few room options. Since we were traveling with kids, we wanted a non-smoking hotel. This hotel fit the bill perfectly. We didn't expect much for the price and we were not disappointed.

Hawaiian gardens isn't known for being a clean nice city, so I didn't expect much from this hotel. But holy moly, was it nice! The staff was friendly and the hotel room was fantastic! A HUGE comfy bed that I wish was my own, a huge clean bathroom, clean carpet, nice tv. The room was huge. Super happy with it and will definitely be back when I need to stay in the long beach area. :)

Clean, quiet, comfortable hotelPosted Oct 13, 2013
Pros: It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and easy to get to from the 605 freeway.
Cons: No improvements needed!
Location: This hotel is just east of the 605 freeway and a few miles north of the 405 freeway. It is near Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, and Long Beach.
This was my first stay at La Quinta in Hawaiian Gardens, and I was very pleased. The hotel was quite full (as evidenced by the number of Do Not Disturb signs in the hallway), but my room was quiet. I could hear TV's and voices when I was in the hallway, but once in my room I couldn't hear any of the other guests. The bed was heavenly comfortable with a light, warm blanket and soft pillows. The shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Everything was very clean and nice. My window (third floor room) opened to a view of trees and birds, and the gentle breeze kept my room comfortable and fresh. The heat worked well at night, but days were mild and I enjoyed the fresh air. There was plenty of parking, and the spots were wide enough for trucks and full-sized cars. My room had a microwave and refrigerator along with the "regular" amenities.

A little out of the way from the hustle of Los Angeles and Hollywood. Clean and quiet rooms. Clean and decent sized bathrooms. Overall will definitely stay here again!!
