Parking was onsite was full so I needed to park on the street, but it was free because of the public holiday conveniently. Cute but small art deco styled room, easy access and a lot of nearby shopping, dining, and tourism options.

What a lovely boutique hotel with added historical influences. The beds were comfortable, shower pressure great and a lovely balcony to sit and have a coffee to enjoy the sea view.

The property is old and the bedroom and bathroom is small. But they have been updated and are very clean. There is no on sight parking so you have to park on the street and pay for parking.

Beautiful Art Deco hotel right in the center of Napier. Walking distance to everything. Room nicely redecorated. Wifi was intermittent and internet access restricted/filtered which was a bit annoying. Otherwise great stay

Location great. Deck facing ocean was very attractive with old world charm and we used. It is an old property so soundproofing not the same as a newly built hotel... hear shower in next suite...Not a surprise. Bed was comfortable and room immaculate and area surprisingly quiet. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Park and walk and enjoy the ambiance of Napier.

Really liked the unique rooms. Especially liked the private patios off each room. My only complaint would be that there is no mirror in front of the bathroom sink. The small mirror that is on the side wall is not usable for styling your hair, applying makeup, or shaving.

Old historic hotel with some lovely architectural features. Car parking is a block away and if you have booked through Expedia this is an extra cost. There is a loading bay for 2/3 cars outside the entrance so you can unload your luggage before moving your car. The main entrance, though, is only accessed by stairs. I presume if you have mobility issues or can’t lift your luggage, you would need to enter via the bar/restaurant. The hotel is well positioned in the heart of the town and on the seafront and there is nice shared balcony at the front overlooking the sea. Our room was a decent size although it was a little tight for the luggage. It was also overlooking some bars, which meant that it was a bit noisy in the early evening with some loud music being played, however, this had ended by 10pm so didn’t disturb our sleep.

Lovely quirky Art Deco hotel in Napier. Ideally located and very well presented. Staff very attentive and helpful with restaurant choices and places to visit. Really wish breakfasts were available in this hotel however the cafe opposite had a great choice of breakfasts items.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay. The staff were very welcoming, allowing us to check in early and be very helpful with advice on where to go in the local area. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Centrally located hotel in this Art Deco intensive city. All staff friendly and helpful. We were able to use their laundry facilities. Nice restaurant. Checked in early and out late which was quite helpful. All in all a pleasant stay if you’re here to enjoy Art Deco. Really nice museum on the corner across.

A lot of effort has gone into preserving the Art Deco style and service and the K restaurant is excellent. Not made clear by Expedia is that parking is not freely available [only for guests making a direct booking] and it is a considerable distance from the hotel with no valet parking available. Street parking nearby is available and free from 6pm to 8am. Wheelchair access is impossible at the main enterence and it was only later we found out level access was available via the K restaurant. Nowhere in the hotel literature does it say anything regarding this.

This is the epicenter of Napier. If you have limited time in the city, stay here and get a balcony room!

Loved everything about the hotel. The only let down was the restaurant, Kitchen. Great on visual appeal but mediocre on quality of food. Was expecting more. Interesting menu that fell short when it came to taste.

The 2 bedroom apartment was wonderful! Very spacious and luxurious, beautifully fitted. We also loved the common guest balcony as well, perfect spot to sit for a drink.

Our room was quite small . Had a very small bar fridge , and area where you could make yourself tea or coffee . With one pkg of cookies (2 cookies to share) which I thought was a little cheap considering the price of the room . Bed was comfortable . Room was nicely decorated . The bathroom had a very small tub and small toilet . I think the worst part was that our room was next to the housekeepers management room so there was a noisy meeting at Around 8am that woke us up and then phone calls we could hear . Maybe other rooms are better? Pay more for a bigger room ?So make sure you don’t get room 152 .

Loved the motel, bar and both restaurants. Food was delicious however as a guest we sat in the quiet area behind the bar playing cards and was bombarded by loud music from the kitchen area. We were then asked to leave the area as bar was closing but there was nowhere in the motel section that guests could sit together. We were effectively sent to bed.
