Ground floor rooms with ocean view are on a busy street and are a bit noisy. Bed not as comfortable as other NZ hotels in which we stayed. Excellent bathroom.

Quirky motel in a quirky town. Only stayed one night.The room spa was a plus and so was the beautiful view. Room had everything we needed. I would suggest a different placement for the rubbish bins as when we parked near the luggage lift the smell was quite unpleasant and set an unecessary negative image. Overall good , wpuld stay again.

The Nautilus is a prime location with easy walking distance to the central city. We enjoyed the sea view from our room. The entire stay was very pleasurable and we would happily return to stay here.

This property has so much potential but is let down by a lack of maintenance. Considering it isn’t very old it is very shabby. Great location, great view, plenty of space but just so rundown both in our executive spa room with sea view and the whole complex in general. There was wallpaper coming off the walls, water damage to the fronts of the kitchenette cupboards, grime/mould around shower base, paint missing from door/architraves etc. Just a shame that it isn’t being cared for.

Lovely room. We had been upgraded to a sea view room which was nice. Unfortunately, it was on the third floor and there was no lift. Not good for a person with a disability but overall, very nice.

the rooms were comfortable and clean, nice view of the beach and the parade. However the room we stayed in (108) was tired. Tiles cracked, marks on the floor. I would rate this hotel a 3.5 - 4 star.
