“CENTRAL AND SPACIOUS”
We had a 2 bedroom apartment over two levels. Ground level had lovely spacious bedroom with king bed and full bathroom - separate bath and shower and good sized vanity. Upstairs had fantastic spacious lounge, dining and kitchen. 2nd bedroom good size and second bathroom is a bonus. Very well decked out with all you need, full kitchen with stove, dishwasher, etc. 2nd bathroom has a laundry cupboard with trough, washing machine, dryer, etc. Small balcony but nice to have one. TV has some foxtel channels - would be great if this included a movie channel.
“Perfect!”
Apart from being a little hard to find(which we expected from reading other reviews) it was a perfect! The staff let my friend check in early and helped him with all our luggage since we were at a festival for the day. The room itself was huge, there was plenty of room for all 4 of us to spread out. There was a coffee bar right outside the hotel doors plus plenty of cafe's and 7/11's a short walk away on George Street. Central Station was about a 5 minute walk away and the staff were incredibly helpful in giving us directions and booking us taxis. We would definitely stay again!
“Very Impressed”
We enjoyed our stay and will recommend to our friends and family to stay here.
“great value”
Apartment spacious and well appointed to get to amenities. Great coffee kiosk right outside the hotel and handy delis close by. Close to train station monorail and only about 10mins to get to Darling Harbour. Pool area a little drab and needed a clean also had to walk trhough the underground parking to get to it which was both awkward with children and smelly due to bins, but otherwise the hotel was well maintained. Sydney was awesome must cisits with children are the Aquarium wildlife park and zoo. Also the Queen victoria shopping centre is lovely lots of history.
“HARMONY BEST”
VERY CONVENIENT LOCATION ROOM WAS CLEAN AND HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. THE POOL AREA WAS VERY DIRTY. BUT OVERALL WE WOULD STAY AGAIN.
“Sydney - two weeks too long for a holiday there”
Apartment was spacious and clean. Location perhaps not the best but knew that before travelling. Close to Chinatown. Convenient for shopping, Darlling Harbour, The Rocks (on bus) or could walk if you wanted to. Disappointed with weather - yes, rained about 6 days in late spring/early summer
“Double booking dilemma”
We were extremely dissappointed with the service from Oaks management. We booked this hotel because it was rated at 41/2 stars and was very close to the main railway station, plus it was on the edge of Darling Harbour for dining etc. On arrival we were told there was a double booking and we had to shift to the Oaks Goldsbourgh apartments on the other side of Darling harbour. Having stayed there before we were not that impressed as it is very large and differcult to get to, also it is not as highly rated. To their credit the hotel paid for a taxi to get us there but on arrival we found the room did not have 2 king beds as had been booked at the Harmony. After over 31/2 hours of arguement and mucking around, the Goldsbourgh staff prepared a room for the 4 of us (2 couples) unfortunately as this hotel is old the room was in poor condition and not very clean. However we made the best of it and enjoyed what Sydney has to offer, we do not recommend this hotel's 2 bedroom units for couples travelling together.
