“Hotel stay”
Good for a overnight stay. Clena, in need of a face lift. Nice park behind motel. Easy on and off inter-state.
“Quick stop on road trip”
Needed a one night stop on road trip. Hays Days Inn was merely a Convenience stop after 14+ hours on the road that day. It was clean, but worn out and run down. The breakfast was ok the next morning. Overall, it was a place to sleep and that's it. I wouldn't recommend it for any stay longer than that.
“Adequate for an overnight stay”
No problems with check in or check out. Breakfast was fine. This is perfect for an overnight stay. I wouldn't really want to use it for an extended stay. Nice, basic accommadations.
“It was OK. Public areas good, room not the greatest.”
I got this hotel with the unpublished rate, which after the fee ended up being about $1 less than the rack rate on the room. Would have done better using AAA discount. WiFi was 3 bars, room had a stale funky smell but it was generally clean. Except for the windows, which were quite dirty with streaks, dead bugs and dust all over. Older carpet and furnishings, serviceable. There were a couple other, nicer motels and hotels in Hays for about the same price. Nice breakfast, though, hot coffee in the evening and before breakfast, and the office staff were professional and courteous. I guess that set me up to expect a little more from the room.
“Cheap and basic”
The rooms were older and a bit dingy, but clean enough. Carpet is old and needs replacing. Breakfast was basic but the lady taking care of the breakfast areawas very sweet and friendly!
“HAYS HOTES”
WAS ALRIGHT FOR A NIGHT BUT NOT FOR EXTENDED STAY
“days inn”
Nothing Special. Clean and warm. Just what a person would expect for the price.
“Cheap”
We drove from MN to CO and needed a place to sleep along the way. The Days Inn seemed fairly new and therefore is still clean and kept up. It's the motel style with room access from the outside of the building. The kind where the window is next to the door and you don't want to open the curtains because everybody gawks into your room. Maybe it doesn't bother other people but we are just not comfortable being in a motel room like this. This is the main reason why I wouldn't recommend it. Again, if it's no problem for you, you can sleep there for a night. On the upside, the wifi worked for our android tablet. We stayed in another Days Inn during the same trip and there it didn't work because the hotel start page wouldn't load. The front desk guy said it's only a problem for tablets, lap tops are OK.
“Good place to sleep, but hang out, no.”
I couldn't control the heat or A/C in the room, which sucked when it was 86 degrees and the room was almost as warm.
“Not a good stay”
Don't know about other rooms, but the one we were in needs extensive remodeling. Was told complementary breakfast was from 8 - 10 a.m. Went at 9:50 a.m. and was told it ended at 9:30 and attendant was rude after I told her we were told 10 a.m. She grudgingly let my daughter get a muffin, but wouldn't let us get any juice. Whole place smelled of bug spray for beetle problem; gave me headaches. No refunds allowed due to "local beetle" problem
