HAYTI, SMALL TOWN

Posted Jul 24, 2013
Pros: the location was convenient to all the fast food locations and the highway and yet it was quiet.
Cons: breakfast time should be longer
We were there to visit relatives and friends and this hotel fit our needs nicely. It is clean but w/o any real amenities although it does serve a continental breakfast (for a brief time). While we were there the pool was not usable and since it was hot that was missed.

Don't stop

Pros: The online discriptions and pictures were great. We were only staying one night but it fill our needs
Cons: To much to list.
Location: Location was convient to I-55 with nearby restaurants.
Driving up, the pool, which we planned on using, was half full of scum water with broken furniture and fencing and hoses layong around. My wife wanted to leave then but through Expedia it was paid for. The lobby was dark and had a horrible smell. It was not inviting. Only one person could make room keys but he was not there. From the outside it looked run down. There was a school bus outside our room where people were grilling and other people were washing their cars. Several "undesireable looking" people were around like they lived there. It made us very uncomfortable. It warned to watch your valuable, lock the car, put things in the truck lock your room, don't let in strangers, etc. This is common sence, but to be warned? The AC units smashed and dented on the outside but they did work. In the room it was dark and not appealing. There was plaster hanging from the ceiling and all the appliance cords were plugged into an expantion outlet which was behind a credenza. I did not realize this until tried to use the coffee pot and searched to find out why it did not work. The floor was dirty and needed to be vacuumed. My wife took one look at the bathroom and said she would not take a shower and would waited until we went to eat to use a toilet. There is a sign that says the have an inventory, and they will charge if anything is missing. We slept in our clothes left early in the same clothes. From what we saw, we did not take a chance on the contenental breakfast.

pool not ready for use

Posted Jun 18, 2013
Pros: pricing
Cons: cleanliness a must. get rid of the fleas. a better continental breakfast
Location: the casino is near by. there is a very good restaurant not to far from there
We was looking forward to the use of the pool that is why we picked these hotel but it was not ready this year, we stayed here last year about the same time of year it was ready. When we booked our room online it should have stated the pool was not ready yet for guest that would have at least let us know this in advance. I have to say last year our stay was alot better than this years experience.

Hotel has seen better days.

The staff was very pleasant , but the hotel has seen better days. If the other hotels are booked up, and you can,t go any further it's a place to sleep.
