“Need to try harder”

Parking area and entrance unlit. No close ice machine. Vending machine empty. Hot tub didn't work. No continental breakfast as advertised. Premises needed a lot of repair and upkeep.

“Old motel, not hotel/inn. Not Impressed.”

The motel, not hotel, was old and smelled musty. O.K. for over night stay but not worth the charge. I have stayed at much better places for less money. This was not up to par by any means. The staff was very nice.

“fit the need”

Reasonable rates - however the clerk didn't take the time to tell me about any of the amenities or breakfast offerings.

“Time for an upgrade”

Hotel was probably really nice in 1980. Needs an upgrade.

“Hold your breath and close your eyes”

There should be a big sign at the entrance to the hotel reading 'turn back now'. The grounds were obviously not kept up. The hallway smelled like urine, the carpet stained and ripped. The mattresses were paper thin and it was apparent that cleaning the room meant light vacuuming and a perhaps a wet rag run along the counter top. The concrete around the pool area was brown - not grey. The only way I'd recommend staying here is if your a big Alfred Hitchcock fan and wish to spend a night at the bates motel.
