“easy to find”

This hotel was very easy to find, you can see it from the exit off route 80 and you could not hear the traffic noise. Very clean.

“Very comfortable, friendly staff”

We've always had good luck with Holiday Inn Express, and this one was no exception. The staff were friendly and helpful in giving us directions to local restaurants, etc. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was great and the breakfast was very good. The hotel was nice and quiet even though there were 5 wedding parties staying there. Definitely recommend.

Area recommendations

We stayed here while on a trip to Jim Thorpe, about 15 minutes away. (The Holiday Inn near Jim Thorpe was booked as there was a fall festival that weekend) While there we also went to Hickory Run State Park which was beautiful.

Getting there

Stay on Rt 476 North (Blue Route Northeast Extension) to Rt 80 West. Googlemaps took us on a back road through Hazleton which took much longer and my car didn't enjoy the steep mountain roads.

“A Great Stay”

This Holiday Inn Express is a nice addition to the lodging establishments in the Drums area. As a recent build, the rooms were clean and fresh and everything was in good repair. The "continental breakfast offered more than the traditional cold cereal with an automatic pancake machine, warm cheese omlettes and biscuits with sausage gravy. We arrived to find a fresh batch of cookies avaialbe for a snack and coffee was always available. This will definatley be our place to stay when we are in the Drums area.

“Everything was just Perfect!”

Checked in for one night on the way to New York City and found everything to be just perfect. The hotel is clean and new and the people were very friendly. The beds were among the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the bathtub/shower combo was acutally a pleasure at this hotel. The breakfast was well above average and the very nice attendant even made us some bacon on request!

Nightlife

Mohegan Sun at Poconoo Downs is a nice casino 20-30 miles North on I-81 if you're feeling lucky.

“Exactly what I had hoped for!!”

When we planned our white water rafting trip, we were looking for a nearby hotel for the night. This hotel is affordable and yet doesn't take away any amenities. Usually, you get into some of these places and their are dirty, or have a smell. This place is immaculately kept, good breakfast, clean rooms, and the staff were great. Highly recommended!
