No Pool for paying costumer

Posted Oct 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great stay. It was a nice hotel. Great breakfest. Beds were amazing. Close to both places we were heading to. But the place would not let you use the pool after check out. That really bites when you get there late night. And check out is at morning. Little town politics I guess. I think the owners rule suck. Not like in the city where you can lounge at pool after check out. Something to think about Mr. and Mrs. Patel

Katrina, Thank you for choosing our hotel. We appreciate your business and we hope to see you in the future. Our pool policy is like many other hotels, if you are not a registered guest you can not use the pool. I myself have stayed in several hotels in the city of Orlando & Jacksonville and they do not allow it either. Once you have checked out of your room you are no longer a registered guest. I am sorry for any confusion.

The room was very small and nothing to brag about. Breakfast was so so. Waffle Iron but no waffle mix. Friendly hotel staff.

Jose, I am sorry to hear that you did not have a great stay here at our hotel. Our waffle mix had ran out as we had a very large group and that is all they ate while they stayed here. Our vendor is on the west coast and we did not receive our extra mix until that Monday. Our guest rooms are standard size rooms, I hope you will consider us again.

CONVENIENT NO-FRILLS MOTEL

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The shower/tub combination, the pool, and the proximity to downtown Okeechobee.
Location: Lake Okeechobee has plenty of fishing and boating. Tin-Fish is the best restaurant in town, with a varied menu. Seminole Casino is 20 miles away.
We were vendors at the Lake Okeechobee Labor Day Festival and stayed for three nights at this motel. It was close to the heart of town and the lake, and served our purposes. Charles, the night manager, worked hard to give us a first floor room, even though we had not requested one, so we didn't have to carry everything up the stairs. The bathrooms are being renovated and updated, which was wonderful. The shower/tub combination was huge, with a curved shower curtain rod and plenty of shelf space for shampoo, conditioner, etc.. The tile floor in the bathroom could use some scrubbing, but the tiles under the sink and in the entry looked new. The king-size bed and pillows were comfortable, and even though the room was small we were able to fit all of our inventory and suitcases in. The pool was large, and was very refreshing after a long, hot day. The choices for breakfast were numerous: waffles, cereal, oatmeal, toast, pastries, muffins, and two hot offerings which changed every day. All-in-all, it was a good place to stay.

Great but one flaw

Posted Aug 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
Everything was great about the stay, had a HOT BREAKFAST with eggs sausage and a waffle maker to make your own waffles, and a few other breakfast items, only issue I had was we had room 119 and it had a light pole outside and they only had sheer curtains covering the windows. There was solid curtains there but only for decor purpose and did no actually close across the window to cover the light. So a tip from my wife, hang up some blanket or the little decorative piece that they lay at the foot of the bed. Otherwise enjoyed the stay.

Stephen, I would like to thank you for your stay at Best Western Lake Okeechobee, and I would like to apologize for the confusion of the curtains. We have 3 types of drapes, we have the orange solid drapes, then sheers and behind the sheers are what we call black out drapes. I hope you would consider staying with us again. I am glad you enjoyed our HOT Breakfast, as we receive lots of compliments about it.
