We could not check into the room until after 6:00pm, after it was inspected. There were not enough staff to help at peak check-in. We were underwhelmed when we entered our "suite". The floor was dirty so we cleaned it with damp paper towels, the closet door was off the track (my husband fixed it), the night stand drawers were stuck & the bathroom was small. We also found a dirty diaper under a bed. We couldn't get a drink while waiting for the room because the Saloon is only open Fri. & Sat., the new restaurant opens on Tues. & the Smokehouse only has beer and wine in cans. Even the bar in reception was closed. We never saw the Graze food truck. We've never been to any resort where there wasn't enough staff to keep the restaurants open and this is tourist season. The next day we went to Wild Florida safari, stopped at Publix & brought food back. I don't go on vacation to cook and clean. On the plus side our grandson enjoyed the cowboy park, arcade & putt putt. When we returned from Wild safari, the room had not been tidied & nor had the towels been replaced. We had to ask for clean towels. We will not recommend the resort to our friends.

This is a great place to stay on Friday and Saturday. After Saturday night rodeo there is almost nothing else to do on the resort. The bar is closed after 12 pm on Sunday and reservations are extremely limited at their restaurant. James at trap and skeet made the entire experience worth it. If you have a reservation at the restaurant don’t bother trying to get there sooner as Heather will just be rude and make you wait until your reservation time. The bar seemed to be understaffed all night and was very slow. The check in process can also be very lengthy so be prepared for that. All in all, River Ranch is a great place to stay if you book activities and arrive on a Friday and plan to leave early Sunday. Note restaurant times and closures and be prepared to seek alternatives.

A magical place. Cleanliness of the place impressed me, I forgot the name of the receptionist, I forgot the name of the receptionist, I know she was of Chinese origin with a lot of respect, pleasant, attentive, she explained everything to us. We return as soon as we can.

Resort was really nice BUT there were barely any options for eating which is a big thing since your so far in it isn’t easy to just order something or go somewhere and eat out. We ate at the same restaurant the whole trip and it was NOT great. There is 0 service in there as well. No housekeeping either. Rodeo was nice. Wouldn’t go again for the money you pay.

Travelling from the UK we found this to be a great experience all activities were excellent Rodeo was brilliant luxury glamping was amazing staff were very friendly and helpful definitely would consider returning maybe when they have the new safari area apparently coming soon would definitely recommend for that cowboy experience

I was very disappointed because all their activities were not available! I wanted to do rock climbing,zipline not available anymore. Everything close at 3pm. The only place to eat open at 5pm. This place is beautiful but is in a middle of nowhere,so to find a place to you need to drive 25 miles away. I booked this place for theirs activities but there was nothing to do.The place is beautiful and clean.

We love the property and the experiences that it brings. It offers so much to do. It's perfect for families, couples and mother daughter get away. Perfect getaway from work and phones ..The only negative in our trip was the poor management of the dining and bar staff. The staff argued with each other in front of customers and the bar staff were not pleasant. They could use some PUBLIX training. We do plan to come back and I will recommend the ranch to others. I just hope they hire a good manager in food and beverage.

I never write bad reviews but this property is very badly managed. - Rooms are VERY OLD and not well equipped - Staff is very unhappy and they look overworked. Therefore not pleasant -Very limited dining options. -*** The property is a ranch and supposed to be Pet friendly, this is a real joke because dogs are NOT allowed basically anywhere. I have a very well behaved service dog and it was a nightmare to be able to even eat at the restaurant. Don't advertise what you are not ! Will not be returning. Horrible experience and its a pity because they have so much potential.

We loved the entire resort! A couple of things that would have made it even better, were if the saloon was open during the week during our stay, and the other restaurant option.

We followed check in procedure of calling an hour before arrival. Had to wait over an hour for room. Room had stale smell not like it had just been cleaned. Gift shop closed early. No bartender so bar was closed. The food however was very good.

The Ranch was evacuated due to Ivan. They failed to call us or contact us to let us know. 2.5 hr drive for no reason not to mention the use of fuel when all the gas stations were closed. Received an email at 7;30 pm way too late!!!!
