This is an excellent hotel, with concierge service, bellhops to take luggage to rooms, available room service, several eating options on the main floor, and VERY comfortable beds.
When we came down to get our taxi in the morning, even though I mentioned waiting for a taxi to the clerk at the reception desk, no one told us the taxi (which was not clearly marked as a taxi) was already waiting for us. Therefore we waited for about 15 minutes, making the cab driver (who could have come in to find us as well) wait also. We were strangers to the way things are done in London, and we could have had a bit more consideration ... however, as soon as we made our needs known to the concierge it was all taken care of, so overall we were very pleased.

Stayed one night on our way to Barcelona and found hotel great. Very easy to get to via the Heathrow Express and covered walkway via Terminal 4. Room on level 5 and overlooked the Atrium. Very quiet, no noise at all. Would prefer a shower instead of a shower over the bath, much easier for older people. Have booked again for 2 nights prior to flying back to Australia.

When I needed to find a hotel to stay near Heathrow the night before my flight, it seems the choice was between poorly maintained small hotels and expensive larger hotels (not all of which are nice). I am glad booked Apple House; in addition to the surprisingly quiet location, it was very clean and well-maintained. It's basically a two-story residential building, in a residential neighborhood, converted to a small hotel. Parking was no issue the night I was there (available on the street and a couple of spaces in front of the building). The staff is friendly (and taking good care of the place) but the interaction was basically getting my key. They don't serve breakfast but there is a restaurant/pub down the street (crowded at dinner time). The shared bathroom/shower was very clean, everything worked. The fact it's shared wasn't a problem during my stay but not all rooms were occupied. The room itself was hardly bigger than the bed but I got a good night's sleep which is all that really mattered.
I am giving this five stars for peace of mind and restful sleep when looking for an economic solution that's not a dump near Heathrow.
