Needed an overnight room near Crown PointPosted Jun 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
We booked this at the last minute so we could visit with friends in Crown Point. It's right off I-65, next to a couple truck plazas, an all night Denny's, a McDonalds, an adult bookstore, and a fireworks stand. The people working at the hotel were friendly and competent. The room was clean, and definitely no-frills. The place is well-maintained, but it's worn down.

Nice, no frills motel. Safe and cleanPosted May 28, 2014
Needed a place to stay for the night and chose this. I don't usually stay in super 8 motels and it wasn't anything special but it was clean and safe which is what I needed at the time. I would do it again if in the same situation

One time thing.Posted Feb 24, 2014
The water smelled like sulfur. I was scared to brush my teach, so I had to go buy a couple water bottles and skip a day of showering. I'm just glad I only needed the room to sleep in for a few hours.

Would not reschedulePosted Jan 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
My grandfathers funeral fell on the same day as a huge blizzard. Hotels.com was wonderful but the hotel was unwilling to change my stay when the funeral was postponed. Luckily my daughter and I were able to stay with family. I was very unhappy with the flexibility of super 8. I didn't even receive a refund.

So-so hotel.Posted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: Clean room.
Cons: A lot of repairs are needed.
Its the Super 8 in Lowell, IN, so you can't go in with really high expectations. Room was clean, but several pieces of furniture were damaged. Bed was hard. Needed an iron and ironing board, and they gave me the one (literally) that serves the whole hotel. Nothing more than a glorified piece of wood with a tattered cover. The Comfort Inn across the street is probably a better bet.

Clean and affordable hotelPosted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Convenient location
We stayed at this hotel while attending a friend's wedding. The hotel was clean, quiet and affordable and included breakfast.

it's dated and has a truck stop next door for food, etc. a good price and clean, certainly quiet.

Basic hotel in convenient location for interstatePosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room and bed were fine, but the hotel itself is old and not very well-maintained. Breakfast was very sparse and there was no elevator. As a stopover, this was perfectly adequate, but I would not make it my destination.

Convenient expressway locationPosted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is in need of a serious upgrade--at least a deep cleaning. The hallways smelled of stale tobacco and the carpet had ground in dirt. While the staff had done their best to clean the room, the floor covering in the bathroom was curling from age and dampness and the wallboard around the shower was cracked and peeling. I chose this hotel because of its location. Next time I'll pay the extra price and drive a few more miles.
