nice oasis in the country

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: The water temp & pressure was great, the bed and pillow were comfortable, the refrigerator was good for storing our water.
Check in and check out were easy, the staff and manager were helpful and informative. The only troublesome encounter was waking up at night to high pitch sounds. I realized it was other rooms air conditioning/heaters running. My solution was to turn the heater on and I fell back to sleep.

Lovely place great value

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: The locations, the room felt cozy and nice, clean, greatview of the mountains, and quiet
Cons: Breakfast was really dull, not a lot of choices, I would not call it breakfast, more like snacks and beverages!
Location: Tallulah state park, the town Helen is about 45 minuts drive, resturanst, shopping, and everything youneed is close by.
The room was so cozy, clean, comfortable, near the mountains, the lady at the front desk was super nice, great value!

Worst Hotel Experience of My Life

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Price
Cons: Toilets, Room Keys, Air Conditioning, Televisions
Location: State & Federal Parks are beautiful all around this area... waterfalls, scenic overlooks. It's beautiful country.
I have stayed at this hotel before with only one problem that time... the room digital key rarely worked so we stayed there again because it's cheap. On this trip, our keys maybe worked one time and the rest of the time, we had to go to the office to get the lady at the desk to let us in our room. I don't believe she ever apologized for that, even asked "what did you guys do?" Was told that if the key is near a cell phone, it can make it not work. This is not a customer problem, this is a hotel problem. I left the key in my car by itself the rest of the stay until we got back and it never worked again. Also on this 3 night stay, we were given a room with no air conditioning! It was October so it wasn't SO hot outside but in the 70s... the room doesn't have a window that opens so it was very stuffy and at least 80 in the room at night. We literally were sweating while trying to go to sleep. The hotel was full so no other room would have been available. The toilets also are a problem, especially if more than one person is staying in the room. The lady at the desk told us it's due to some new water saving system they have... but it equates too... the toilet only flushing about every 10 minutes. The television was goofy as well! It was zoomed in to where you were only seeing a portion of the screen... just a cable box remote, no tv remote to try and fix it. I suspect we were given this room because we booked through Expedia. All this made Rod very sad! :(

Mediocre

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Right off the highway, clean room, friendly staff.
Cons: Would have been nice to have a clock and tissues in the room.
Pros: clean room and friendly staff, price was right. Cons: old "tube" tv, no hair dryer, no clock, no tissues, no tub, tiny room stuffed full of furniture. It was only for one night so was doable. We would have asked for a different room if we needed to stay longer

Surprisingly nice

Posted Sep 8, 2014
We almost chose the Quality Inn for $80. Just to make sure it was nice enough. Because paying any less could be too disappointing ... right ? But not in this case! Especially if you get a King Size bed ! The bed was comfortable and centered right in front of a large flat screen TV. Really cozy & clean ! Also, the hallways to the rooms are large like in an expensive hotel. I will definitely go back if they have a KING available ! Really nice people !
