Served its purpose, but NOT a great overallPosted Nov 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
I came up for a quick weekend getaway and to enjoy the last weekend of Oktoberfest. The Days Inn was the only hotel available for a reasonable price, and now I understand why. Upon entering my first room, I was overcome by the strong smell of urine/must and immediately requested a new room. The new room was a little better. Instead of a urine smell, I got a smell of the after effects of years cigarette smoke (although it was a non-smoking room). But I'll take a slight smoke smell over urine ANYDAY. But this room had its own issues: 1. Sink was clogged and overflowed if you left the water running for more than I few seconds. I had to wait for a minute for the water to go down the drain, and I did this at least 4 times during my morning wash. 2. One of the toilet seat hinges was broken. I had to hold the seat down in order to use the bathroom. All in all, I can't complain too much as this was an "on a whim" trip and I needed a place to stay for the night. So I guess the room served it's purpose. But if a great hotel experience is high on your list, then this is DEFINITELY NOT the place for you. I just made it my business to stay in the room the least amount possible. Only choose this place if the hotel/motel experience is very minimal to your overall experience.

only in a third world country should a place be so disgusting and filthy. Only stayed due to last room in Helen due to Octoberfest. My family and I were never able to shower that one night, we chose to stay sweaty from our day instead of using the the bathroom. It was better to use the outdoors than the bathroom. NEVER again.

Dump MotelPosted Sep 29, 2014
This Motel was a dump! A hole in the wall where a vent was located was covered with blue electrical tape and a band-aid was even taped to it. It had fallen onto the floor and the hole was open. We stuffed a pillow in the hole because we were afraid that "any" type of creature could come crawling through! One of the staff had a room there and her kids were there during our stay. They were crying and coughing and were very pitiful. The lady on staff (janitorial) was always loud and fussing with them. There were gnats in our room. It was a very bad experience! I would not recommend this to anyone!

NOT HAPPYPosted Sep 29, 2014
not happy the room was run down , to much money for this room. The staff nice, rooms to run down for what you paid for. Will never stay at a Day's Inn, this is the second one in 3 weeks , not happy .(both the same) .

Old and out of date.Posted Aug 10, 2014
First walked in to a musty smell with a few flies and nats flying around. The bathroom needed lots of work. The towels had stains on them. Not the Worst I've stayed at, but not worth what I paid.
