“not impressed”

was not impressed with quality of suite. for the money charged it was not up to standard. didn't have to look hard to find issues with quality of construction and maintenance. not conviently located to main street. pool very small. TV service not good at all, very restricted access to channels, commercials out the cazoo!

Haufbrau was outstanding. service very personable and attentive. Food was great. Nacoochee restaurant was outstanding. best of the two. great steak cooked on wood fired grill. wine was super. like biting into a fresh muscadine. in house made gargonzola dressing superb.

this hampton inn wasthe best i have ever stayed in .

anna ruby falls is a must see sight . the water fall is a must see attraction.

best to go in may or when children are in school.

Getting around

walking is best becasue all of your shop's are close together .

What to pack

depends on the season . you must pack some good walking shoes .

“White Christmas”

Overall, your hotel provided a warm and welcome experience. It snowed during our stay which made for a wonderful Christmas. Outside of the 3rd floor being re-furbished, (which accounted for a lot of debris and garbage in parking lot), our stay was quite pleasant. I'd refer this hotel to anyone who welcomes a nice view , nice, clean room and accomodating staff.

“Can't wait to go back again”

Everything was clean and convenient to park & walk to the attractions. This isn't our first nor our last time to stay at this hotel. The bed was confortable and it was nice to be able to relax in the hot tub after traveling all day.

Getting around

This hotel makes it easy to park and walk to everything without having to pay additional parking fee in town. Safety isn't a concern.

“Serene and Peaceful, but what are we paying for exactly?”

Felt a little bait and switch when we arrived. Told that all king rooms were full but could have a double with the fireplace, jetted tub, etc. then after check in we were in a basic double room. Called the desk just to hear that only king rooms have the fireplace and tub amenitiy, sorry. But yet the price was the same! Nice place, peaceful view, but not worth the price with out the extra promised amentities.

“Enjoyed Helen GA”

Hampton Inn is a lovely location with the Chattahoochee River flowing by. Staff & rooms first rate. Good breakfast: especially appreciated that they served real butter. Close to all of Helen's attractions. Helen GA is very small so you can enjoy it all.

Traveler's tip

Enjoyed sitting on the patio of Dee's Diner eating a chicken fried steak sandwich with real (not frozen) French Fries. The Reuben at The Troll on the River was good and in a beautiful setting. West Family Restaurant has terrific southern cooking. When not stuffing my face, enjoyed meandering in this lovely town & thru its shops. One mile away is Unicoi State Park: go look at its lake.
