Pros: Sitting by the fireplace, sipping hot cider, and enjoying cookies makes for a lovely visit.
Cons: I would improve the lighting in the rooms. With burlap shades on the lamps, it makes room dark at night. The lighting in the bathroom is very good.

Nice resort! Lots to do but also very relaxing!Posted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: The pool, location, rooms were nice. Location was good. Games available, cookies, s'mores, etc.
Cons: The breakfast was ok. Maybe a few more choices there.
Location: Towns County beach is just up the road. Lots of good restaurants in the area.
My family and I had a wonderful time at the Ridges! The room was comfortable. Balcony was nice. Nice pool. There is lots of games and things to do. S'mores were fun. Rented jet skis one day. Blue Otter restaurant was very good as well and able to walk to it. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will definitely recommend to others.

We did have a relaxing time.Posted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and inviting on the inside. The lounge areas were beautiful.
Cons: The Continental breakfast & they need more staff. The front desk was always well manned during the day, but there needed to be more housekeeping.
Location: The location was beautiful. Lots of shops for antiquing were nearby. Movie theatre across the street. Lots of Mom & Pops resteraraunts.
We went for rest & relaxation and we did receive that. The pool was much to overcrowded with children. We went out for breakfast everyday because the Continental breakfast was about the worst I'd ever seen for a restaurant of this calibre. Several of the less experience chain motels have much better. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. However, they were very short staffed on the housekeeping end. Our rooms were not tidied up until sometimes late in the afternoon and most of the time we had to catch them out in the hall and ask for clean glasses & cups and more towels.

Great hotel for the family!Posted May 28, 2013
Pros: Proximity to movie theater and dinner restaurants.
Cons: Price of rooms
Location: great proximity to water and town
My boys were able to check out fishing rods from the front desk and use to catch fish off the pier. We rented jet skiis and did the wake board cable park there. It was so fun. Lots of activities.

Very nice!Posted May 28, 2013
Beautiful grounds and facility. Staffing there is excellent. If looking for a romantic day or two away from everyday life (kids!!), this is an excellent choice! Close to many vineyards, trails, and a short drive to Helen. My only disappointment...evidently, this is a "choice" location for weddings/ receptions. Simply ask to be placed at end of resort and upstairs. One evening, we simply started a fire in the firepit and privately enjoyed a purchase from the local winery, while baby geese and ducks roamed the shore. We are planning for a return weekend next year. "The OAKS" restaurant is very nice too. You can sit outside, weather permitting. Definitely 5 thumbs up!

ConvenientPosted Apr 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were only there for one night but we were not given the room we wanted (we reserved a King room and got 2 doubles). The service at the bar in the lobby was terrible - it took forever to get a beer. The hotel is pretty old but the lobby is nice and the rooms are clean.

Spring in the mountainsPosted Apr 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our stay at The Ridges Resort. The resort is located on Lake Chatuge and the view from the lakeview room balcony is gorgeous! The food at The Oaks restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. My only complaint about our stay is that the landscaping and the grounds in general aren't being well maintained. It doesn't appear that much if any landscaping has been done yet this spring.
