One night stay only

Somehow managed one night stay. Washroom exhaust was making odd noise whenever it was on, need repair. Room with 2double beds was little tight for movement we noticed. But was ok for our one day stay

Pros: the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and nice..
Cons: house keeping..
Location: every thing I needed was in walking distance..
the house keeping staff wasbad the rest ok..the shuttle service was ok but the driver didn't move the van and I had to walk in bushes and under braches..not fun at 5am..

Not What You Expected

Pros: Convenient, close to downtown Helena.
Cons: Facilities definitely could be renovated and kept better.
Location: Downtown Helena is only a 5 minute drive away, close to lots of fast food and restaurants.
The room was alright, definitely not what it seems like in the photos and was a lot less cozy. Even thought we stayed for only a night, it definitely wasn't the best of nights I had, I couldn't get comfortable in the room and ended up having a very sleepless night. The bathroom fan was very clunky and loud, and ventilation was very poor so it felt very damp in the room after every shower.I wouldn't stay more than a night here.

not what I expected

because I booked online, I was told that I had to stay at the 'motel-like' section of the hotel--which was out back on the other side of the parking lot. I had a second floor room and the only stairs (no elevator) was inside a door to a dark stairwell. Had I known all of this, I would have booked somewhere else. I have stayed here before and had been very happy, but NOT with the fact that I felt like I had to go to a dark area to stay just because I booked online. I will NOT stay here again.

Dirty

The room was dirty when we got there and we never saw a maid in our 3 day stay. Had to call the front desk to bring coffee for the 2nd and 3rd mornings. Maid service was promised but a no show.

Reasonable stay for the price

Pros: I liked the hotel staff and the cleanliness of the room
Cons: Update the rooms
Location: Grocery sores coffee shops
I had an older room in the motel portion of the hotel but it was clean and comfortable. Because the hotel is older I was able to hear the television in the adjoining room. There was also traffic noise from the street. Overall for one night it was a decent older hotel.

Extra charges, not what was advertised

Upon checking in we were told (as well as 3 other couples behind us) that we all had to pay extra to stay in the main building if we booked our rooms using the Internet. After all of us waiting to check in expressed our upset with this we were told they would refund the extra charges. (Nowhere does it say this online!) By no means was the hotel even close to being half full. When we got home from our trip we found that instead of refunding the overcharge..they ran it thru 3 more xs!! All guests receive free breakfast coupons to eat in the restaurant in the morning. At 11pm we found out from a very disgruntled and out right rude bar maid that the restaurant was closed the next day so there was no breakfast offered to any of the overnight customers. This was also NOT advertised or posted anywhere. When we went down to talk to the staff in the morning they just said there was nothing they could do about it. Had we known all of the above..we NEVER would have booked this hotel. Needless to say that my family and all the others who experienced this with us will NOT be staying there again..but will gladly be referring everyone else to a different hotel.
