Clean the edges of the carpet

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: the price
Cons: cleaning, install hair dryers, install towel/robe hooks or racks in the bathroom
For the price, this room was fine. We were very disappointed in the lack of carpet cleaning all along the edges of the carpet, which wrapped partway up the wall. The dirt and dust was visible to the eye. There was no hair dryer. No place to hang a towel in the bathroom.

You should not have to pay more...

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: The best part of this hotel was the restaurant staff. They were friendly and provided very good service.
Cons: Don't require guests to pay more than they were told when reservations were made...if you have rooms that are in poor shape they need to be fixed.
When arriving at the hotel to check in I was informed that if I wanted a decent room in the main building that I was going to have to pay $10 more. It was implied that if I don't pay the extra money I would be put into an old, unkept room. I had already paid for my room through Expedia so being told that I had to pay additional money for the same type of room (this was not an upgraded room, it was still the same type of room) was upsetting. A hotel should always try to give their best quality rooms to their guests and not force them to pay more for a good experience. When I entered into my supposedly "better" room it was a very basic room that smelled bad. I am unsure exactly what the smell was but it was an unpleasant odor.

good value

Posted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: a comfy bed that you can actually get a good night's rest in!
Location: be sure to stroll the walking mall at Last Chance Gulch, and don't miss the collection of Charlie Russel artwork at the museum (some of his best)
nothing fancy, but the price was very good for a clean, comfortable room. the bed was very comfy, much better than your average motel.

Not a great stay..

Disappointed with room conditions. Burns on bed linens, confused desk clerks, really big stains on bed comforter. Inexpensive room but poor experience all around.

One night in Helena

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: We stayed in the old motel wing and liked being able to park in front of our room.
Cons: Upgrades to TV. We were told that the new addition to the hotel had flatscreen TVs and newer (better) beds etc.
Location: All we were interested in was to find a decent restaurant. There are many fast food places in the area. We opted to eat in the hotel's restaurant.
We had booked this hotel in advance with Expedia. It was adequate for our needs but nothing special. The room was small but clean.

Pros: comfortable bed and linens
Cons: towels are really small and thin, avoid the breakfast.
Location: Close to Carroll College
We were only in the hotel for a few hours on part of a road trip. Looking for cheap and convenient, this is it.

UNACCEPTABLE....this time last year 2013 we stayed at this hotel for first time and it was oaky this year I again booked online and prepaid... On arr we were put in some back building 2nd floor...No elevator for my handicapped 88 yr husband Checkin person had deplorable uncaring attitude....we were advised we had to pay extra for building with elevator.[ Where we stayed last year.] We both are elderly and traveling long distance to visit son in Helena.
