My first stay at Skyline Hotel and we were very pleased. Very small room with twin-beds, but very, very clean, comfortable, and it smelled nice to. The bathroom ceramic tiles were beautiful & everything I saw looked updated & nice. You only need a small room in NYC because you stay outside most of the time. The hotel is in a good location & we walked to shopping & restaurants, Broadway, etc. Just took a cab to & from Penn Station. Very friendly staff, very courteous, & a restaurant/bar inside. The breakfast buffet was pricey ($15) for not a grand selection of items. But great to have one close by in the rain. You can also buy tickets to most things here too.

Stayed for 5 nights in October 2014. Great little hotel in the perfect location. Less than 20 minutes walk from all top attractions, eg. Time Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue, Rockefeller Centre, etc.
Room was small, but clean. Housekeeping everyday. Staff were very friendly and always ready to help.
I can only recommend this hotel highly and would stay here again while visiting New York.

Highly recommend this hotel if you travel with family as each room has 2 full beds and a large bathroom. We had 6 of us staying in 2 bedrooms. We were on 3rd floor and hotel doesn't have elevator. It is a few blocks away from Time square in a very quiet part of 48th Street. Good restaurants and coffee shops just a block away. Room was spacious (for NYC standards) and bathroom was spacious and all very clean. Fernando the receptionist was most pleasant and resourceful.

Rude staff, unfriendly experience. We felt late check out fee was a little bit too much, so we decided not to check out late. But the staff who was responsible for assisting our check out process was irritating, and forced us to leave within 15mins when she learnt that we no longer wanted to check out late.
