“Cumulus October”
Hotel Cumulus is very handily close to the Helsinki Airport and for those who come to the airport by bus (either long distance of from the city, there is a bus stop just 200 meters away, that is, you do not need to go to the airport and take from there a courtecy bus. (Courtecy busses are of course available to and from the hotel to the airport.) The brisk service at the restaurant did not compensate for the tasteless food (which was attractive looking, though).

“Typical airport hotel”
Although not right at the airport, Cumulus is connected to the airport by a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes and takes under 10 minutes. The hotel is efficient, with an overpriced restaurant, clean rooms without character and nothing to recommend it except its proximity to the airport. It's right next door to another hotel and about a 15 minute walk from a large mall of no roughly the same level of interest as the hotel itself. It was fine for a stopover, nothing more unless you happen to have business in Vantaa.

“A beautiful day in Helsinki”
We had two nights in Helsinki and an early flight on the second morning, so this hotel was very convenient--it was close to the airport with a free shuttle bus, so we did not have to worry about changing our money yet. Our room was roomy. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and started very early in the morning. We ate two evening dinners at the hotel resturant and both were excellent. I had grilled herring the first evening and steak the next night with a bit of reindeer meat on the side. Finnish vodka and beer were great, too. The sauna was clean and refreshing! We had a free day in Helsinki, so we took the free shuttle bus back to the airport where we caught the bus for downtown. On the way back, we took the city bus to the airport and then the shuttle to the airport. It was very easy. The staff had good English and were very friendly. We had a good stay!
“Adequate for an airport hotel”
Adequate for an airport-transition-hotel. Probably would not use for extended stay, as neighborhood was more industrial/business.
“Fantastic stay”
The room was amazing. Chocolates were on the pillows and a small toy was on the pillow of the child's extra bed (though admittedly there were no children in our room). The beds were exceptional and we desperately clung to them in the morning when we had to wake up to catch the 9:30am flight. We found the breakfast buffet to also be quite good. There was a good variety of meat, smoked fish, and other breakfast goodies. I think I enjoyed this hotel over the other airport hotel I stayed at in this area previously (at least the rooms seemed better).
“Exellent Value”
Exellent option if you need to stay overnight for a connecting flight. Great breakfast and Sauna!
“Great Airport Hotel”
Everything worked as planned. I stayed at the hotel because I needed to catch an early flight, and the closest hotel was mch more expensive. The breakfast was excellent, and the service began at a time early flyers need.
