Nice hostel!Posted Sep 9, 2014
Very nice hostel (I had a single room) - 20 mins pleasant walk from the town centre (passing a market, churches, parks etc.). The hostel facilities were everything I needed- bed was comfortable and there was a shared shower & toilets but they were kept in very good condition, and there's a traditional Finnish style sauna on the 7th floor which is free to use in the mornings!

good locationPosted Aug 31, 2014
this is a hostel, so you have to set up sheets by yourself. Very helpful staff, but some sheets are not so good. They are clean but very different from hotel sheets. If you bring your own sheets, you would feel more comfortable.

Hostel in quite a good locationPosted Jul 27, 2014
As I was travelling by myself I chose to stay at a hostel as opposed to at a hotel. The room was basic and small, but that's to be expected. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were always clean and pleasant. There is a restaurant downstairs that serves breakfast and dinner. The staff were always helpful and friendly. For me the hostel was in quite a good location. It is about a 15 minutes walk to The Esplanade, quite a pleasant walk along the water front.

Inexpensive hotel within 5 minutes of city centerPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: The low price and proximity to all major venues. Access to lobby any time at night with key card.
Cons: Safe in room for valuables.
Location: Located in city center next to #4 trolley stop. Sightseeing by bus or boat. Market place and department stores. Short distance to amusement park
Hotel guests from many countries made nice neighbors while I enjoyed sightseeing and a side-trip to Estonia. Crime rate is almost nonexistent, and women can walk the streets at night without fear. The hotel offers a fine breakfast for a fair price, and a social gathering in the bar at night can offer some companionship. Naturally, a Finnish sauna is available. Guests who stay longer than three weeks can register for Finnish language classes and can get a free night at the hotel.

Good budget accommodationPosted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Price. Proximity to my conference venue.
Location: Very close to the ferry terminal.
This is a youth hostel rather than a hotel but is a great alternative to the more expensive hotels in the vicinity if y don't mind missing out on a few luxuries. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast bar is pretty good and the transport links are good.

Good HostelPosted Jun 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
I got a single room. Facilities were basic but so was the price. Location was near Viking Line next to a tram stop. Free sauna in the morning was great experience.

Oslo has VERY expensive hotel prices, as based on my 20 yrs travel. We got this hotel at a good price. Although the room is a little small (but good enough), it is quite modern, a good bathroom/toilet, very clean, fast elevators, excellent 24 hr. reception service, large lobby, free coffee or tea in lobby near the 2 elevators .Free computer internet access in lobby. Min. food available in lobby, better to eat outside. About 20 min. walk from Central train station with a hill rise of maybe about 40ft. Taxi to train station (about half mile) flat rate is 200 ROK, 250 on Sun & holidays). Expensive food & restaurants. Still, a beautiful city to visit, and this nice hotel to stay.

Definitely a hostel, but a very good onePosted Jun 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Definitely a hostel and not a full service hotel, but a very nice hostel even so. Very clean and generally well-maintained with a helpful staff. The location is a bit out of the way. But it's very close to port where all of the ferries dock, which makes it the perfect choice if you're looking for a place the stay the night before you head out by boat. And honestly, the walk to the city center is quite short. There's just not all that very much to see along the way.

Very conveniently located by the portPosted Jun 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very conveniently located if You are travelling by sea from Estonia. Close to the tram station and 10 minutes from the city square. Hostel service is very good but since a lot of young people stay there it can be very noisy at night, meaning the walls are not very thick. Overall awesome stay and will definitely stay there again.

I've been there with my gf three days and everything was pretty good, helpful and kind receptionists thanks a lot for helping us. But restrooms was dirty and nasty from our arrival date till our departure date.
