The hotel located a little far from the station.

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Nice classical type of the hotel entrance.
Cons: Breakfast was too expensive.
Location: It might not easy to find out this hotel by walk with heavy luggage. But, once you become aware of the city structure, the location is not bad.
We arrived at Helsinki by the ship from Stockholm. We used trams from the harbor to the hotel. We found later that the hotel is located at 15 min walk from the raiway station. But, it might not be easy to reach the hotel by walk with heavy luggage.

Nice hotel close to city centre

Lovely setting & close to city centre and train station/bus station. Hotel staff very helpful. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable, smart room very small and drinks ridiculously expensive. Overall nice hotel though.

It is very convenient and accessible.

Fantastic place and they are very friendly. The room is big and I like the bathroom because it made from dim glasses. The room price is reasonable and affordable.

Great place in downtown Helsinki

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The decor, the rooms (which were large and ultra modern Scandinavian chic), and the peace and quiet.
Location: The hotel is well situated not even a five minute walk to the heart of commercial and tourist Helsinki.
This is a fantastic and fantasy-like hotel in the early 20th c. art nouveau style well-known in Finland. The fantastical furniture, lamps, and wall paintings seem like out of a fairy tale or a museum.

Great hotel conveniently located.

Pros: Everything
Cons: None that we can think of.
We had a lovely stay at Glo Art Hotel. The staff were friendly, especially Laura who went out of her way to help us with our enquiries about the City of Helsinki.

Its all good

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Everything. Great first impression, lovely rooms, excellent breakfast
Cons: Laundry expenses are prohibitive, it would be nice to have something more affordable. nice, but no deal breaker.
Location: It is only a short walk to the city centre which has several days of exploration possibilities, and heaps of nearby restaurants
We stayed 6 nights at GLO. Location was terrific, staff wonderful, the public areas enchanting, the room modern and luxurious. Breakfast was a joy with great food in a beautiful old basement cellar space. We have been travelling 8 weeks and its the best hotel so far. And it was very affordable, compared to most others. A big tick from us.

Needs to Improve

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons:
This hotel is in great location and walking distance to most attractions, however we traveled with our infant and the hotel is not set up for this, many stairs and heavy security doors with raised thresholds through doorways. Breakfast is typical of the Helsinki hotel buffet, however little hot breakfast was severed. The room was clean when we arrived, but poor cleaning during our stay and hotel staff were notified on each occasion, and still not cleaned to stranded. We upgraded our room to a suite as the double was not suitable in size, with the extra room and lounge area we expected we could have room services, again disappointed. All in all we expected more and got less, as we have stayed in many Helsinki hotels this is one we will not go back to.
