The hotel is outdated and looks like a page from a 1960's magazine. The carpet in the hallway to our room on the third floor smelled musty and was not pleasant to look at. Our room labeled Superior was far from it; it was large but the wallpaper was dated and the baseboard needed repairs. The shower in the bathroom was an adventure in itself...the drain was in the floor underneath the sink. Two positives...good breakfast and central location.
The hotel was close to the train station, breakfast had a decent range of hot and cold options. The bed was comfy, and the shower was very powerful but the shower door had a gap at the bottom so it flooded the bathroom. The door was also thin so you can hear people in the corridor. The corridor smelt of smoke but overall a pleasant stay for the price.
Excellent location. Perfect luggage storage services. We checked out and stored our luggage. We picked up before catching our train late in the evening. So convenient for us. Breakfast is good too. Mattress is not too soft. We enjoy the stay there.
This was amazing, reached all my expectations. It was walking distance to the train and shopping malls too!

Informed the hotel to do room service but did not happen. People always smoke by the entrance so the hallway on level 2 always have that smoke smell. Breakfast is nice but does not change, everyday is the same.
Hotel location is good but it’s on the slope, old and needed renovations. Value for money and friendly staff. Ok to stay for a few nights, quiet and safe.
The location of the hotel is good. The shower room is miserable, but the room is clean and warm. It is notable that the staffs are very kind and flexible, and give you smiles. The breakfast is average. If you just sleep and go out, I can recommend you to stay in this hotel.
Whilst overall the hotel could use a bit of TLC, it was clean, comfortable, & - importantly - warm. The staff were friendly & welcoming, the breakfast was great, & the hotel couldn’t be more conveniently located for getting around the city. I would recommend this hotel & would definitely stay again.
This was a great stay comfortable room. Temperature was great in room and TV channel options were great. The staff was awesome they allowed me to store luggage.
The staff at the front reception was very helpful and understanding, and answering our questions about where to go and how to get around. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the central station across cobblestones. When we got off the train from the airport, there were no good directions on how to walk to the hotel. However, we got there and from then on, we understood how to do it. The location of the hotel is great. It’s near the tram line and there’s plenty of shopping and restaurants to choose from. The Buffet breakfast is extraordinary. Next time we’re in Helsinki, this will be the hotel we will go to.
We stayed twice, three nights each time. Very good clean hotel. The arrangements were a little cramped. Service and welcome were excellent, breakfast very good but evening restaurant , although advertised was not open .
Central location, close to everything. Large room with living room. Full breakfast with lots of choices. Awesome ladies at front desk. We really enjoyed our stay.
Overall the room was good. The only things I didn’t like were the shower (it drains towards the door and drenched the entire room), there is a kettle but no supplies in your room. Be sure to ask for coffee or tea at check in. Lastly, there is no laundry service, even though they say on their description that there is.
Room is small but it has what is needed: comfortable bed and a bathroom.
I arrived 3 hrs before check in and they let me get in the room without issues.
I had a tour early and left before breakfast starts so I can’t comment on the food. The hotel is 10 minutes walking from the bus/metro station. No heater but blanket is enough for the beginning of October.
The hotel is near the university, so everything like the market, the White Cathedral, the metro and the shopping centre is within walking distance (i.e. within 20 min). Breakfast was on standard. Staff were friendly and helpful to resolve any problems raised. They were also helpful to arrange the reasonable transport to the airport. The only disappointing things were the room facilities and the cleanliness. 1 of the pillow covers were not washed which still had the last user's odour. Hair was found too. There were hair and few dirt in the towels. The light at the washroom only worked by tapping it. Hair dyer did not work. The best thing in the room was the noise insulation. In terms of the price, location and the staff service rendered, the cons are justified.
No issues. Good location near train station and walking distance to main Helsinki sights. Comfortable, clean room. Good breakfast buffet selection. Looks like it is popular with groups

Disliked: Room comfort
Good rooms that are shaken on a daily basis
The rooms are fine - everything you need for a stay, staff ok, good breakfast.
Unfortunately it's not a place to stay for comfort or rest of an evening / nighttime. Everything is loud loud and louder. Paper thin walls, you can hear the next room watching TV, chatting on the phone (even when then do their teeth!). Worst part is if you stay on floor 7, as floor 8 (I think as it sounded above) has some sort of gym area full of running around and jumping and shaking your room from 4pm to 9pm every day.
