excellent designer hotelPosted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The breakfast is simple but truly excellent and the pasties and breads are home made
Cons: There is no room service which may disappoint.
Location: It is a few minutes walk into the centre but I enjoy this and the market hall and great restaurant are not far. Also, bottle shop next door.
Really can't be faulted. I got a style room (based on some devious reviewer's comments) and was gorgeous. I stayed on my own so the room was spacious and bathroom large. . The staff were faultless- after a 32 hour flight I arrived in Helsinki at 7am and by 10am they had arranged for an early check in (thank god) as I had a meeting at 11.30.

Lovely hotel.Posted Aug 13, 2014
Lovely hotel. Rooms in very good condition, clean & well-appointed. On arrival, we were upgraded to a fantastic suite that opened onto the courtyard. Delicious breakfast which could be enjoyed in the courtyard. Friendly & helpful staff. Overall, a lovely place to stay. We would definitely go back.

ExcellentPosted Aug 11, 2014
Cons: In an otherwise wonderful experience, at the very end the taxi service used by the hotel was poor. The driver did not know which terminal to drop us.
Hotel Fabian - Helsinki, Finland A fine hotel, decently priced, and certainly a good value. The staff was excellent. The design of the hotel was exquisite and our rooms were lovely. We stayed initially for several days and then in a different room for one more night before returning to the United States. A spacious and beautifully designed room with clever use of space in the sleeping area and in the bathroom afforded us a most comfortable and enjoyable visit to Helsinki. Lovely court yard – request a room over-looking it. Breakfast was excellent. Centrally located on a quiet street within walking distance of the must see parts of Helsinki. Would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it for anyone visiting Helsinki. Highly recommended. August 2014 – Howard & Marie

Excellent hotel just right for a city breakPosted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Staff and the rooms
Cons: Nothing. You get exactly what you should, excellent value for money
Location: It's a 5 minute walk from the city centre and harbour so great for both exploring helsinki or taking a ferry elsewhere
From our arrival the staff were really helpful. The room was a good size and we'll equipped. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

A Quiet Central LocationPosted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Easy walking distance to all of the major site seeing attractions.
We recently stayed at the Hotel Fabian for 3 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. The room was relatively spacious (for European standards) and the bathroom was also a good size. The bed was comfortable and the linens (including the pillows) were lovely and fresh. The room, however, did not have any air conditioning and it was quite warm on occasion. This was not a major concern, as we merely opened the windows and even though we faced the street, it was still nice and quiet during the night. Unfortunately, upon our arrival it looked like the carpet in our room had not been properly vacuumed as it was covered in what appeared to be white dog hair. Although we did not say anything, the hair was cleaned up the next day (by a more attentive staff member). The main breakfast room is very small, but there is a lovely garden patio where we ate every morning. It is open all day/evening for anyone who wants a quiet place to simply sit and read. The selection of breakfast food was fairly standard and consisted primarily of cold items, but everything was tasty and the premise was tidy and clean. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Helsinki. We are a middle aged couple, but there were several families with small children staying there as well. Thank you, Hotel Fabian!

Quiet and RefinedPosted Jul 11, 2014
Location: Close to both the Cruise/Ferry terminals and the Town Centre with its numerous restaurants
We found it to be a Relaxing base for our two night stay in Helsinki after our travels around Estonia and Finland.
