“Recommended”

This was great hotel in a beautiful peaceful setting. The food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced (I would recommend the reindeer steak), but the service, though of a high standard, could be a little slow, even at off peak times. While starting to look a little well used, the room was clean and well maintained, and the beds were so soft it was like sleeping on a cloud, not least of all because they seemed to be very high. The pool and saunas on the top floor were very really nice too and were quiet most of the time. I had them to myself on several occasions. It is 20 minutes drive from the centre of Helsinki, but there are frequent buses going from near by. I would definitely stay again.

“Radisson Blu Espoo”

I booked this hotel by mistake. I thought it was closer to the centre of Helsinki. In some ways it was fortunate that I did make the mistake. The area around the hotel is very tranquil with no traffic. If you are on a driving holiday this would be the hotel to stay at in Helsinki with plenty of free parking. Otherwise, from the hotel its a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and 20 minute bus trip to the Helsinki centre. The buses run about every 20 minutes. The area around the hotel is wonderful, with lots of trees and the lake about 20 meters from the front door. There's a shopping centre about 10 minutes walk from the hotel where you can buy enough food for a picnic lunch or dinner and then sit by the lake and enjoy. Breakfast at the hotel was excellant. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were exceptionaly helpful with information on bus routes and tourist information. The wifi internet was free. I would stay here again.

“American Hotel with European Style”

This hotel was a perfect link between American and European hotels. The room's features were very comfortable, without being excessive. (I think that American hotels could learn from it's functionality!) The continental breakfast was outstanding - very surprising for a breakfast included in the price of the room. And, although the Finnish can appear to be less interactive and not as warm compared to other cultures, I found the staff to be very accommodating and pleasant. Great hotel. I will stay there again.

Everything was excellent, except the fact some of services (like sauna and swimming pool) are only available until 10 pm which was not cool. However that could be relevant to the country, since almost everything closes quite early there.

“HOtel in Espoo on the bay”

This is nice hotel for business travelers. It is fairly new, clean and neat. The breakfasts are full and nice. It is surrounded by the technical university and near various locations in Espoo. Bus line run very nearby. The hotel is on the bay and is a good rest area away from downtown.

“Fine for business travel”

Very comfortable, good food. I used it because it's near where my meeting was the next day (and I will use it again), but if you have more time to kill, it's not really near anything else.

“Nice and simple”

The location is great, access to Helsinki is easy. The restaurant is billed as Italian; however, it more Italian-inspired rather than authentic. On the second stay there there were few minor glitches in the room, but these were they didn't cause any inconvenience worth mentioning. Some of the more popular breakfast trays emptied quickly, but were slow to refill, if at all, even though there was still good 1-1/2 hours to go. Overall, the hotel is pleasant in an understated way; the staff is very friendly and cheerful.

“surrounded by barking dogs. Was there dog poop in the halls?”

this hotel booked lots of people with dogs into rooms around me. The dogs barked evening, night, and morning. When i called they said we book dogs i asked them to see if they could get people to stop the barking. The barking did not stop. SAS runs radisson. I had a bad flight. mechanical problems kept flight from going 2 times. Would not refund becasue they were going to schedule another flight. I will avoid anything assoicated with SAS.
