Great hotel close to all you could wish to seePosted Jan 31, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness and breakfast
Cons: Cost of drinks in the hotel, as with the rest of Helsinki is very high
Location: Walking distance from everything in central Helsinki and the city has an excellent tram/bus service for the outlying sites eg the Olympic stadium
Excellent hotel only a few minutes from the central bus/railway station where the 6 Euro Finnair bus drops off from the airport. Excellent breakfast. Room was very clean and pleasant. Ideal location for a city break in Helsinki and day trips to surrounding area. Staff very helpful.

Great hotel in the centrePosted Oct 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Perfect central location, large clean room with comfy bed , ( we booked a triple occupancy room for two of us), coffee and tea making facilities, and very good breakfast. Only criticisms were: no drawers etc to unpack clothes, would have been better for another comfy chair. We were lucky to be on ground floor, but regular queues for the lift.

well located but expensive for room sizePosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great breakfast, friendly staff, well located but room was small for price particularly the location and type of bathroom (at least the glass doors should have been tinted)

Cons: Wait for lift
Like the late breakfast times , well designed. Could have slightly safer system for storing luggage.

Very good hotel in city centre.Posted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: Excellent hotel in central location in Helsinki. Very good breakfast.
Cons: After 2 p.m. every day lift giong up to Floor 12 was full of people going to Viewing Platform and to Bar on13th Floor.
Location: Location could not have been better. 5 minutes walk from Railway and Bus Stations. Restaurants/shops/churches/museums/harbour accessible on foot.
Requested high floor with view but was informed that as we had booked standard double room we could not get higher than 7th floor. Allocated 701. We asked another room as we did not like see through shower room. Only room available then we were told was Room 314 which we accepted on day of arrival. Bathroom very small. We stayed there for 6 nights. Had read in crits about Hotel Torni that guests were given all sorts of choices on arrival - re rooms. On day before we left saw into room with lovely wooden wardrobes, etc. and large bathroom with bath, which we would have preferred. A much lovelier Finnish room which we had expected in the Hotel Torni after reading all the crits about hotel. Would have been much better for staying 6 nights. Maid service was very late in cleaning room on most days. Glad there were 2 lifts, as lift to Floors 12 and 13 was busy all the time after 2 p.m. with people going up to Viewing Platform and Bar. Fortunately we could use lift to Floors 2 - 5.

Great locationPosted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel was excellently located in central Helsinki. I stayed for 4 nights and wanted access to City attractions and restaurants/bars. Very friendly staff and excellent room standard. Stayed in the superior single rooms which were compact but extremely well presented and very clean. Would recommend hotel for all groups of people.
