"Budget hotel in natural setting close to Helsinki"
I loved this hotel, which was comfortable and in a lovely wooded setting on a small lake and a short walk to a large water park. I got a great price on Expedia so I didn't mind the long bus ride to Helsinki's city center (though it's better to have a rental car if you stay here). The staff were friendly and professional and the hotel has a GREAT restaurant. I was surprised by how good my meal was (I ordered the 3 course chef's special) and the price was reasonable. There is also a small deli next to the reception area which has a variety of very good foods and beverages and I believe it's open 24/7. The free breakfast each morning was outstanding and the free internet usually worked very well. So, overall this was a great choice and I plan to stay here when I'm in Helsinki.

Really can't be faulted. I got a style room (based on some devious reviewer's comments) and was gorgeous. I stayed on my own so the room was spacious and bathroom large. . The staff were faultless- after a 32 hour flight I arrived in Helsinki at 7am and by 10am they had arranged for an early check in (thank god) as I had a meeting at 11.30.

This was my second time at Torni and it did not disappoint. Room was clean and was what I expected. Staff very nice and I also managed to get to my room early instead of leaving my luggage to storage until the usual check-in time. Great bartender up in Ateljee bar. Breakfast buffet very good.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Its location is perfect. It is only about 20 minutes away ( on foot) from the Airport bus stop ( no 615). In fact the bus stop is in the city centre and next to the main railway station. You can walk from there to most of the city's main attractions, including the Market Place near the sea.
Our room and bed were very comfortable and clean. The washing facilities were also very good. A hair dryer was supplied, as well as iron and ironing board. The buffet breakfast was good. All in all, if I were to return to Helsinki, I would chose Alexanteri hotel again.
The staff are very helpful and polite.

We had a brilliant stay in this quirky hotel. Great rooms and breakfast, lovely food and fabulously friendly staff who will happily help you plan your stay. Ace location (about 20min walk from central station or tram number 4 takes you directly there). Be there...or miss out!

Clearly a business hotel, outside of what I'm willing to pay normally, but very nice hotel regardless. When we wanted some soup at 11pm and the restaurant was closed, the reception staff went to the kitchen and asked them to make us some creamy salmon soup. It was delicious.
