Quiet, comfortable way to enjoy Las Vegas

Posted Apr 14, 2014
We stayed at this hotel during a couple's weekend getaway to Las Vegas. While we still wanted to enjoy the sites and activities of the famous Strip, we chose to stay at an off-Strip hotel to ensure more restful sleep and less hiking through casinos at bed-time. :). At first, this hotel seemed a little far out of the way (it's about a 10 minute drive to the Strip), but since we had our own vehicle, we quickly got used to it. The hotel was very nice -- great free breakfast (eggs, meats, waffles, fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereal, etc.), clean & tastefully decorated rooms & common areas, super comfortable beds, and a friendly staff. They were a little skimpy with the provided towels (though I'm sure they would have been happy to oblige should we have asked for more) & I was surprised to see that our room had only a shower (a large shower, though) instead of a tub/shower combo (that may have been because it was a king room, though) but since we left the kids home, it wasn't a problem. Nice neighborhood with unlimited dining and shopping options just down the road, which made it very convenient to grab supplies or snacks and find decent food without paying the inflated prices on the Strip. Would definitely stay here again.

Good Experience

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Everything was nice and clean. We had no problems getting a nights rest.
Cons: Heavy fabric for window coverings...sheer curtains let in too much light in the a.m.
Location: Excellent restaurant across driveway, well worth trying, great food. Ethel M Chocolate factor and cactus gardens close by.
After traveling for more than ten hours we were tired and wanting a full night's rest. Only item to improve was the sheer curtains over the window. Heavy fabric hung on each side but did not pull to cover the window.

Great hotel outside Las Vegas

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: The staff is very friendly, the happy hour is amazing - home made light meal and not just complimentary drink!
Cons: Nothing, we found everything to be perfect.
Location: There are pretty good and quite restaurants around Henderson - no need to go to the strip to eat good. Check some out online before you go out.
We stayed 3 nights at Hampton Inn & Suites Las Vegas South on the last week of March and had an amazing stay. The hotel is quiet, clean, the staff are very nice and friendly. We're happy we've decided to stay off the strip.

Good value for your money. Be careful using the free wi-fi. The hotel may charge you a daily fee if you do not connect properly.

Pros: price
Location: Great place to eat nearby called Windy City Pizza. Combo is awesome!
Nothing on line that the pool and Jacuzzi were closed. Was looking forward to relaxing after a long drive and wound up disappointed.

Pretty Nice except for ....

Posted Mar 23, 2014
Pros: Staff, breakfasts, cleanliness.
Cons: Barking dog issue; check to make sure TV and appliances are working.
Location: It's close to Las Vegas and there are also a lot of things to do right in the area. A lot of good restaurants in the area too.
The staff was very nice and attentive for the most part (except for one attendant that we only saw once in the evening who was rude). They allow animals which would be okay if they would put those guests in a separate area. We were next to a room with three dogs and the owners left them in the room all day and night. They howled and barked incessantly. It really ruined our first three days. Also the TV was broken in our room and we were unable to get a working one.

Excellent stay in Vegas

We were very impressed about the hotel, great location – close to the airport and to the Strip, big room and bathroom, very clean. The included breakfast was excellent, every day different menu and a large variety of food. The pool was very clean. I definitely come back.

Pros: Having comfy bed, happy staff and fidge and microwave, not always included in all Hamptons.
Cons: Fix handle in on bathroom shower door.
Location: Place right next door does good food. Ideal location for airport.
Booked this hotel as standard at Hamptons is usually good, thus place did not disappoint, staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, our best American experience, the room was very good too especially the bed. Included fridge and microwave too. Continental breakfast was set up early for early fliers, only about seven miles to airport so ideal. Would not hesitate to stay again
