Weekend Getaway

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Air conditioner worked great. Windows had the black out curtains . Staff was friendly. Pool and hot tub hours were extended.
Cons: Breakfast needed bacon, sausage and bisquits and gravy. There were no yogurts or cinnamon rolls. Eggs were cold. Fridge was small pieces missing..
Location: Was a bit disappointed no restraunts close or stores. We had to drive into Brighton. Frontage road was a bit confussing... traffic was heavy
We arrived at hotel, Desk clerk was friendly and got us in early. I unpacked then we went to eat. came back room was nice and cool. we watched tv then used the hot tub. was realitivly quiet. Had elevator go out on Sat morning still wasnt fixed when we left. We were on the 3rd floor was a work out getting everything down to car when we left.

Very minimal

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Staff was nice and rate was lower than others in the vicinity, but we should have paid more to get more.
Cons: Room condition and breakfast.
Room was OK except door did not properly close which made it impossible to lock bottom lock, and hair dryer was broken. Coffee at breakfast was very weak and only children's sugared cereals were provided. Staff was nice, but the total experience left much to be desired.

Ok hotel, close to the freeway and gas station.

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Location, included breakfast.
Cons: Hot water in the shower at 4:00 am.
Location: Close to the freeway and gas station. Don't know what else is close.
There was no hot water in the shower in the morning, I had to call the reception and they had to check and do something on their end before I was able to take a shower. Otherwise it's a nice hotel for a short overnight. Thanks.

The worst experience ever

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Nothing was good. Very poor example of LaQuinta chain.
Cons: I would start with training and improvement in the safety of the rooms. We had to slam the door to close it and the front desk did not care.
This hotel was a terrible experience. Rooms that did not lock, showers that leaked, poorly trained personnel, a terrible breakfast where the hot food was old and cold and it took 30 minutes to get plates for the lousy breakfast. When I asked for assistance the woman at the desk could not even program the key cards for the rooms. The elevator sounded like it was going to fall apart.. I was very disappointed since I just started using LaQuinta this year and had been very pleased. This may be the last time and I may go back to one of the other chains that I was using.

Horrible location! Absolutely NOTHING near by except a gas station! If that were the problem, I would have been fine and blamed myself for not doing better mapping of the area! My primary issues were the cleanliness of the room! Tub had several areas where it had been patched and looked dirty. I cleaned my hair out of the tub every day we stayed so I have doubt whether it was even cleaned! Burned out light bulb in bathroom the whole stay! Filthy wash rag (several black marks on it) promimatnly placed on the towel bar as if they were proud of it! They did change our sheets because we ended up with stains of unknown origin on night two! Had to dust off coffee maker before use and EACH of my 4 days, clean out my coffee filter and rinse out the coffee decanter so I could make my coffee!!! Had a room with a door that did not close unless pushed/pulled hard! Apparently the maid was unaware of this issue because we came back one evening and literally pushed the door open! Fortunately nothing was missing; I can only assume they burglars have basic cleanliness standards and this place missed that mark! Pool and spa was down for renovation the entire stay. My final comment if you still are on the fence about whether to stay here; they proudly tell you a "full" breakfast is served each morning between 5 am and 9 am, however, unless you get there BEFORE 8 am, Fruit Loops IS YOUR ONLY CHOICE for breakfast! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Good place to stay on the east side of Denver

Very relaxing. Good selection of eateries within a short car journey and plenty of strip malls within easy reach in case the going gets tough. Only downside is that the hotel is close to the interstate and in a rough patch of ground. On the up side, this held a small Prairie Dog town which kept us amused for hours. Casa Del Rey Mexican restaurant well worth a visit.
