4TH TIME STAYPosted Mar 5, 2015
Can not understand the negative comments about this hotel..Room is CLEAN (carpet, bedding, bathroom) with a very comfortable mattress. Excellent dining facilities. (The people complaining about this accommodation would also complain that the Sun was to bright for them in the morning)

Fun place for Adults and Kids.Posted Mar 2, 2015
Our kids always have fun here at Kid's Quest or the Arcade or bowling or the Move Theater. The adults have fun doing their thing! The only problem we ran into last time was long lines/wait time during dinner time, so we just went to the eatery (Panda, Subway, Eat a Burger) and we didn't have a problem.

Always happy at Sunset !Posted Feb 28, 2015
I have stayed here many times and will continue to on my Vegas trips. None of the drama occurs when checking in like the Strip Hotels...you know we don't have your room avail but for a small (ha ha)fee etc.... Easy parking...no access hassels because the strip is jammed...valet if you want it. Great hotel for a great price !

Basic But ServiceablePosted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Air in the casino
Cons: Make the rooms more comfortable and add room safe
Location: Nothing near by except local shopping. Not a tourist spot.
Since I was in Vegas for business and not pleasure, this hotel is just fine. Very basic but clean, was surprised that there wasn't a room safe. The best thing is that the casino's air filter was really great. It didn't smell as smokey as other casinos. This hotel is for locals and does not offer the "Vegas Strip" experience but the environment is very comfortable. You will need a rental car to get around.

Nice Hotel, wrong bedding....Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Close to shopping and dining, and minutes from our Sports event we were traveling for.
Cons: Let guests know that bedding is not guaranteed.
Location: shopping, dining, mall, casinos, parks, sport fields
Hotel was clean, staff was mostly friendly. Dining was good and reasonably priced. We had asked for 2 queen beds when we made the reservation, which we were denied upon check in, we were told because we booked third party and they were sold out of all rooms that had two queen beds. Good thing I wasn't traveling for business or with a non family member. We also had to pay the taxes and room fees at check out, which I don't feel was disclosed by Expedia when we booked the room. The pool was closed, which I understand as it is February, however on the days we were there two of the days it was 80 degrees, it would have been great if guests were allowed to sit outside and around the pool area.

Walk between hotel and casino extremely long,Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The chef in the cafe was a good cook
Cons: Service for handicap
My room key did not work four individual times, screaming kids in buffet, no assistance for handicapped patrons, machines do not pay very well, week days no room service after 9 p.m. Beds extremely high not for short people, very poor water pressure in showers,

Location: It's right around the corner from their home, so when ever we have family come into town we frequently suggest they stay at Sunset Station.
We got the room for the evening as a 30th wedding anniversary gift for our parents. They live close to Sunset Station and play there frequently. They were very satisfied with everything from the service received at check in, to the staff at the bars, gaming area, and restaurant. All in all they had a great time.

Old hotel. Rooms could use an update.Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: $5 Blackjack table. I liked staying in Henderson, away from the crowded strip. Quieter.
Cons: Update and overhaul the rooms
Pleasant enough but old, musty. Woke up and saw a bug crawling near my pillow. Tub looked like it could use a deep cleaning. Ok to shower in but I would not soak in it. It took an incredibly long time to get hot water in the morning shower. Enjoyed my brief time in the Casino and restaurant.

You Get What You Pay ForPosted Feb 14, 2015
Pros: Good location in Henderson if you like being away from the strip.
Cons: Rooms need to be updated.
Unfortunately I was lured by the price of this hotel. Stayed here about 10 years ago and found the rooms quite nice. It now appears that not much has changed in this time, including the beds & furniture. Rooms are small and dark, with old worn furniture. Booked a room with 1 king bed but ended up with 2 queen beds, making the room even more crowded. TV slides out about 6 inches but cannot be seen from the only chairs in the room and no other way to arrange the furniture. One bed was broken and flipped up off the floor on the side when you sat on the other side. Sheets had burn holes in several places even though this was a non smoking room located on the second floor. All other floors are secured and require a room card to access on the elevators but this one is wide open to the public, due to the catering offices & fitness center on this floor. Ice machine was broken so had to venture to another floor for ice.
