Convenient hotel in centre

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Hotel staff were welcoming on arrival even though we arrived at 3am after delayed flight. Hotel convenient for Archeological Museum, which is well worth visiting and not too large for teenagers. Buffet breakfast was nice and went on til 10am (also good after arriving in the small hours).

Great Staff

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: We lost the address of the next place we were going. The staff looked up the number, called them for directions and got us a taxi.
Cons: Nothing . It is a small European hotel. It would be cramped for a long stay.
Location: It's in the center of town with most everything you might need a short walk away.
The hotel is a good value. Close to the airport. We came in late in the evening on a delayed flight. A fifteen minute taxi ride and a quick check in let us get into bed 30 minutes after leaving the airport.

Trouble with parking as the taxi cabs take all the space out front.

Very Disappointing

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Central position.
Cons: Room layout, for functionality. Staff friendliness and attitude and local knowledge.
Location: Good location, close to bus stop, taxis out the front ( receptionist will try and ring her brother taxi driver for you instead). Museum, port, market.
Came here after 1 week in Athens. Extreme difference in staff attitude. These guys basically will not acknowledge you until you go up to them to speak to them. The staff member looking after breakfast buffet is pretty much angry all the time. I asked him if it was possible to toast my gluten free bread roll, he turned his back to me and left me wondering what just happened. I asked again and he turned to me and said " ok, ok just put it done on the bench and I will get to it." We stayed here 9 days and it was pretty much like this every day. The rest of staff, including reception, don't want to know you. I asked for an iron to iron some of my clothes and they said " we don't have them any more, there was an incident and now we don't give them out." I couldn't believe it!! They were very vague with directions when asked and basically just give you a map and let you figure it out. Rooms old and not very functional. We thought of plenty of ways to restructure to improve this. I suggest the manager stays in the 1 bedroom room for a couple of days and he will see. Overall very disappointing stay. Lift your game guys!

Overnight stay

Very good value (booked through Expedia). Parking is a bit tricky given the central location but there is a cheap public carpark 2 minutes walk away, which is signposted.

Nice hotel in the City Center. Convenient for shopping, cafes, restaurants, and nightlife just steps from the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff spoke English and was helpful in making arrangements for us.

Great place to stay in Iraklion

Posted Oct 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
7 euro taxi ride from the port; 10 euro drive to the airport. Hotel is located in a prime spot downtown Iraklion, right near the water, the shops, the plazas, and the restaurants. The hotel itself was comfortable, although we were put in a room with a view of a wall with 2 double beds (granted this is what we paid for) The Wifi was amazing; in your room and in the lobby (they will print you out a separate code for each of your devices) There is a lovely rooftop garden that I discovered by accident; check it out. Breakfast was ok, nothing to get excited about. Hotel staff was super nice/friendly and helped us get set up with a rental car which we were able to pick up/drop off right in front of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel as an economical, comfortable option in a great area of Iraklion.
