“Appropriately Named”

Being perched on a hillside the hotel provides fabulous views of the coastline however, without a shuttle service to the village/beach it is not recommended to anyone that is infirm or elderly. The walk to the village is nearer to 15 minutes but is pleasant enough and brings you closer to some of the road side plants that in Crete are weeds but are selling in garden centres back home. The location is close to Heraklion and there is a bus service. The rooms are clean and tidy but very basic. The staff are very friendly. The food was not very varied but was reasonable and I had a vegetarian choice on most occaisions.

“Disgusted!”

Never judge a book by it's cover! After arriving in Iraklion Crete at the Agia Pelagia Hotel, I was greeted at the exterior entrance to the hotel by several cats and the scent of cat urine! Once I entered the hotel where I received my room key at the reception desk, I proceeded outside the exterior of the hotel where I was greeted again by several cats and the scent of cat urine! After entering my hotel room, I was highly disgusted with the bathroom! No shower curtain and when taking a shower, the hand held shower head sprays water on the bathroom floor and the shower basin fills with water! As a civilian contractor working and residing on a military installation in Kuwait, you would expect better accommodations than a trailer with complete bathroom with shower curtain, Cable Television, Free Internet access and the absence of cats and cat urine all provided free by the Military! I was offered by the hotel receptionist to upgrade my room, but at an additional cost to me! This would indicate that if you book a hotel reservation on expedia based on the photo's and information that is provided and after you arrive at you destination only to be disappointed and shocked by the accommodations you selected based on the information provided, the hotel and it's staff has no obligation in providing you an upgraded room without additional cost or a refund so that you can choose other hotel accommodations!

“What business is Panorama in?”

It is clear that the management has lost sight of the key principles of the hotel business. "keep the customer happy". The food and the bar service are appalling. Any food not eaten at lunch will be rehashed the following day! Everything is the cheapest quality and to top it all the bar staff are the rudest I have met in a long career! All inclusive
