Great little place
Small beautifully restored country house hotel. Used as a wedding venue, but they don’t let that get on the way as they prefer for it. Stay and staff were fantastic. Evening food options are limited but plenty of variety available with 5-10 min drive.

Very relaxing place to stay and very dog friendly too. We only stayed one night but everything - food/wine, accommodation, lounge area and walks for the dogs were great. We'll use Glewstone Court regularly in the future.

Beautiful period interiors with lots of original features. High ceilings, decorative plasterwork, paintings, mirrors, floor tiles, fireplaces etc..Attentive but not intrusive staff committed to making our stay enjoyable. Quiet location in attractive grounds, but easy to reach by car. High standard of meals prepared with fresh, local ingredients.

A Gem
Amazing tranquil location within easy access to Symonds Yat and Ross on Wye. Car essential. Food and dining experience also amazing. Reception and all staff friendly, efficient helpful and friendly. The small Landon double room is indeed bijou - the others are much larger and well worth the extra cost. Breakfast hearty and cooked to order. Recommended.

Heaven on earth
The staff were oustanding. The chef was excellent. The setting was idyllic. We could not fault the cleanliness and adherence to Covid security. A single night was far too short a stay. We'll b3 back as soon as they hav3 a vacancy,

Beautiful period property, only 8 rooms so nice and quiet although the restaurant is open to non residents. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Rooms were very clean, The beds were large and comfy comfy. We had a beautiful view from the Reynolds room across the front orchards and hills. Breakfasts were excellent with a great choice of cooked and continental. Dinner in the Cedar tree restaurant was also very good and very pleasant to have a lounge area to retire to. Would have liked a fridge in room and a stand alone shower rather than shower over bath

Stayed one night whilst passing through the area and had a wonderful evening with great food, genuinely pleasant and friendly staff in very comfortable surroundings. A privately owned and run hotel without the usual dead hand of a corporate stamp. A nice and relaxing atmosphere of true quality. You won't be disappointed.

Give them more stars!
We only stayed for one night but I really didn't want to leave! Our room was amazing and Sam and Amy really made it special. When they found out we were celebrating our wedding anniversary they even gave me a little bouquet of flowers and when we arrived for dinner a card was waiting for us. The food was truly the best I've ever had. They deserve far more than 3 stars.

Nice place and not far from Ross. Friendly staff. Room rather small on this occasion, previous rooms have been bigger. Breakfast could be better. Not worth £12 unless you're having something cooked. Overall a nice hotel but on the expensive side for what you get.

We stayed here for one night . The hotel was alright, nothing special and is in need of some modernisation. I love traditional and the country house hotel experience, but the bathroom in our room was awful. No signs of luxury here, a cheap 1970s style bathroom suite with an electric shower over the bath that had hardly any water pressure. The room was alright and comfortable enough for a short overnight stay. We were in the Reynolds room, which does not seem to have a photograph on Hotels.com website, it was in the main part of the house which was great, maybe other rooms are better? On the plus side .there were some nice touches, such as bathrobes, bottled water ,biscuits,and fresh milk available, The young man that checked us in and out also served our breakfast and he was excellent. Breakfast was disappointing with a rather poor selection at the buffet and the toast came with one tiny pack of butter each. This review is based on the cost of the stay and I would expect more for my money. The hotel has potential, but based on this experience I would not return.

Dear Lorraine, Thanks for your feedback. We acquired the Hotel at the end of 2014 and the Reynolds Room is one of only 2 left to undergo a full refurbishment. We cant change overnight what we inherited and the price for this room is lower than our refurbished rooms reflecting this. Its also the first poor review about the breakfast so I will check if anything was different on that day and my apologies that it did not meet your expectation. Thank you also for pointing out the positive aspects of your stay and compliments about Sam. If you do decide to return, please contact us directly so that we can allocate a refurbished room.

Wye valley paradise. Would stay there again
A charming and wonderful place to stay. The staff was extremely friendly. Special kudos to Sally who gave us some good recommendations on places to go. The only reason I am not giving it five stars in all categories is that we had a very small room. In fairness I knew this however before we booked. I had hoped that we could be upgraded to a larger room but that wasn't to be. I would recommend that anything other than a single guest should make sure they get one of the larger rooms. Food in the restaurant was fantastic.

Family fun characterful hotel set in lovely grounds and gardens. Quiet setting. Hotel has been well maintained but bedrooms rather tired looking. Very friendly staff and decent breakfast but hot food stops serving at 9.30am. Too early particularly on a weekend. Free parking and good location for access to Hereford,ROSS on Wye and surrounding area. Nice stay and would be nice for parties and Events.
