We chose this hotel during the eclipse viewing time. Most area hotels were price gouging. We got what we paid for. The hotel staff were wonderful especially Melinda the bartender. But the hotel was run down. The carpets were torn and stained. The bathroom tile had mildew and the room fridge had an odor. The tv remote was missing and they wouldn’t offer housekeeping daily including even emptying the garbage. There was a decent gym but the equipment was covered with dust. Hotel definitely is understaffed and needs maintenance badly.

We stayed with them april 5th - the 7th and from the moment we checked in we had nothing but issue after issue, the first room the tv didnt work and we waited for 45 minutes before being told they We're just gonna move us, than we switched rooms and this room smelled so bad it wasnt even tolerable and there was a big wet spot on the floor right next to the bed and we didnt get any sleep because all we heard all night was a dog barking also , and needless to say we ended up being switched again and this room wasnt as big as our original room so we didnt have enough room for people to sleep so we ended up waiting hours to be switched again, and mind you the whole weekend we We're also trying to get ahold of the Gm about everything because NONE of the workers We're helping us either, and we were lied to over and over again too, we had asked to be accommodated and we kept getting you have to speak to the gm they are the only ones who can do any of that and we had asked to speak to the gm the day we were leaving and they said and i quote he is busy accomadating other guest he will call you when he is finished, mind you again we had been trying to talk to him all weekend but yet he could help people who were just checking in but couldnt address any of the issue we had the whole weekend and than we check out and the front desk worker tells us he will get in touch with you and i still have yet to hear from them at all, and the staff is rude and will lie directly to your face....

Our room had a musty, smoke odor. Refrigerator made a high pitched sound so we turned it off. Heat/ air unit was noisy. Free breakfast was meager: coffee and muffins. The rate was low for a busy weekend. I guess we got what we paid for.

Staff was very nice, but property was dirty. Rooms were also dirty… stained carpets, dirt and dust in corners, toilet and tub/shower were dirty and rusty. TV was older, so unable to access Netflix or other streaming. The price was good, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Even though my stay was cut short due to an emergency, it was quiet and the area felt safe. I'm from this area so I wasn't expecting a 4 or 5 star experience. The room was decent but not as clean as it should be. The staff was very polite and helpful. For a small city , I'd recommend this hotel for visitors passing through or anyone (like myself) who wants to get away for a night or two.

It was absolutely terrible experience. Expedia should not allow places like this on their site. The building is under constraction. Our room was with hole under the window and we could not heat up the room as outside temperature was cooling it faster than heater heated. The worst place I have ever purchased from Expedia. Faulth advertising with raiting more than 9!

The room was pretty clean, well stocked, and sized appropriately. Unfortunately, there was no hot water. We had to take a cold shower. The hot tub was closed for the entire visit. The pool was closed when we arrived and only opened after several people complained. Then it was only opened for a couple of hours instead of the posted hours. The New Years Eve party was overpriced for what you actually got. The outside was a kind of dirty with lots of debris on the ground. Then the breakfast that was advertised ended up being a half dozen unappetizing looking oranges and a small pot of coffee. We were very disappointed with our stay.

There were only 4 cars in the parking lot, which was a red flag, along with overgrown annd unkempt shrubbery. This was once a nice hotel, that has not been maintained. The smoke detector was missing, with wires hanging out. There were 2 hairs in the bed. The ceiling had moldy and flaky areas. The room remained at 75f as the AC didn’t work. Some of the furniture was chewed up. Large rust stains in the bath. The ice detector didn’t work, and the pool/hot tub were closed as they were also being fixed. Photo evidence available. We called earlier in the day and staff were happy to upgrade us to a room with a whirlpool, given that the hot tub wasn’t working. They were unfamiliar with the American Disabilities Act in terms of service dogs, however were helpful in locating an open store. Upon check-in there was no welcome, just a request ‘ID’ and then ‘Sign here’. If the choice was to drive 15 hours without a break, or to stay here again, we would drive through the night in pitch black, pouring rain and fog rather than stay here again.

OK for the money
The rooms were clean but could use some updates all over the property. They state they are going some renovations on signs in the building, but they should keep up with facility cleaning. The outside entrance to get into the hotel had trash on the ground and the full trash can outside the door was full of the same trash in the 5 night stay I had there. One bad thing if you are there in the colder months is if you are not in the room the temperature of the room will automatically set back to a certain temperature and takes forever to heat back up. I will give them another chance next time I am in town, but I hope they can do some more cleaning on the property. Also, no plugs near the beds for your phone, laptop, etc

Comfortable bed and pillows, basic bath that mildew stains, there were stains all over the carpet in the halls and the halls smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking hotel. I found it hard to fall asleep as my room was by the highway and could hear truckers and traffic. I will say the staff were all friendly and the lobby was pretty and smelled wonderful. Continental breakfast nothing special all single packaged pancakes and waffles, breads with butter and PB option and coffee.

The price was pretty decent. We arrived after dark and the parking lot is really poorly lit so it doesn't feel super safe. The elevator felt old and rickety. Our room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. We paid for a room with a whirpool tub which was clean, but in poor shape. The front of it was coming apart and there was a loose tile on top as well. The biggest problem is there were no steps to get into the tub and if you're short or differently abled it is very tough to get in and out of. Shower was rusty. Had a nice vizio TV so you could sign into your own streaming accounts, that was a great feature. The "continental breakfast" was a joke. Bagels without cream cheese, disgusting microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, empty juice dispensers. That was a real shame because it's quite a drive to get to any other food options in the area. There's nothing readily available. We even tried doordashing to the hotel and there were very few options because most places wouldn't send someone that far.

The property was actually very nice. I had a jacuzzi type room and that was swell. I did however fill it some and run the jets first. Some brown bubbles came out so I drained it and started over. It may have been sediment from not being used (I hope) Then I forgot my slippers. The carpet felt like it needed some serious cleaning but it looked fine. Overall I would definitely stay again. BTW the hot tub and pool in the community area, was pretty nice!

Place really needs a major renovation… I was in a non smoking room however it smelled like cigarettes and I had major headaches for the next couple of days. Carpet is dirty enough to where you don’t feel comfortable walking in it without some footwear. I now have to fight with Expedia to get some sort of refund for 2 days…

Sorry for the inconveniences you faced. We are in the process of renovating our property. Our entire hotel is nonsmoking however, that doesn’t stop some people from following the rules. In those instances we treat the room accordingly and put it out of order until it has been fully treated. We make sure housekeeping is cleaning the rooms properly including vacuuming every day and using the carpet cleaner when needed.

Rooms where very dirty microwave did not work phone in room did not work and remote to tv did not work as well

Very run down -property is in need a lot of TLC. The young lady behind the desk told us that we needed a wrist band to swim at the inside pool. That is because of unwanted people coming in at night. Room smell. And don`t even ask about breakfast.

Our room had a leak from the air conditioner. In order to not be charged a room fee, we had to put a trash can under the drip. The light going into our room entrance by the bathroom DID NOT WORK. While getting breakfast, someone came out of the kitchen to observe us and stood there, making that very uncomfortable. The clerks were amazing in helping us get situated. The hotel itself was clean and the indoor balcony area to the pool area was amazing. The hot tub and pool were clean and both at a great temperature. Would stay again without going to the breakfast

We are sorry for the issues you faced during your stay. If you have any issues with the room in the future, please let the front desk know so we can switch your room without any additional charges. We do have a breakfast attendant that makes sure that everything is stocked for guests until 10am.
