Fantastic location

Posted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: The quiet surroundings and the immediate access to highways. Comes with the qualities of something old fashioned, excluding the drawbacks.
Cons: Room service. It would also be great if they could offer a very basic breakfast and at least some coffee for the clients who must depart early.
Location: Excellent location, close to highways, close to the city of Liege, close to the Industrial Parc of Hauts-Sarts.
Located in a beautiful and convenient place, close to the big commercial center of Herstal, not far from the center of Liege and in the very neighbourhood of the Hauts-Sarts. Very scenic views on the Meuse Valley (front) and on the quiet country side of Wallonia. Hotel is old, but as a result, in the bedrooms, the windows can be opened and the heating is secured by old type devices that do not dry up the air. Furniture is quite basic but the beds are excellent. Wifi works very well.

A great place to stay for Business or sightseeing

Pros: Front Desk Service
Cons: Limited dinner menu
Location: Excellent location to all points
The front desk staff was fantastic. I had lost weight and my wedding ring fell off near front desk. They called shortly later and reported if I had lost a ring. They were very friendly and spoke excellent English both at front desk and at restaurant. Breakfast had a great selection, but the dinner menu was just average. I ate two dinners their, the selection of wine was very limited. Location was excellent easy access to all points. The front desk and maid service was as good as it gets.

Good for business trips and relaxing after work

wellness center is great. Some of the rooms in the hotel are a bit dated. Example: this time my room had a flatscreen TV. Last time my room had a small CRT TV. But the hotel is comfortable and the beds and room were clean.

Not impressed

Posted Nov 17, 2011
Location: The neighbourhood was good for this hotel
The hotel had an unpleasant smell as you entered the dining room. The bedroom was not good . The double bed on one side was impossible to get in or out as it was so close to the wall. There were no duvets on the bed just a poor quality blanket. Unable to use kettle owing to the position of the power point. OK to use if it was placed on the floor which was not good. Trouser press has not power point and stand alone upsight has no power point. Not a good bedroom.

Good Stay

Posted Sep 15, 2008
I stayed at this hotel whilst attending the Belgian Grand Prix. The hotel was within easy reach of the circuit, approx. 30 minutes drive and in its own pleasant surroundings and gardens. The room was spotless and very well furnished, the food in the restaurant was good with plenty of variety and you could also have a meal in the bar area instead if you so wished. My only critisism was that they could have done with more bar staff, as you had to wait a while to get served, but that could be down to it being busy because of the Grand Prix and one of the Formula 1 teams staying. All in all I enjoyed my stay and would go again.
