Nice property but could make some improvementsPosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: The breakfast buffet was very nice.
Cons: Outside upkeep.
Location: We stayed here because of the proximity to Mesa Verde National Park and Durango.
People who stay in the Mesa Verde Suite should be told that the bathroom is on the main floor and the bedroom is upstairs. The property needs lawn upkeep - overgrown (messy walking to our door entrance). The Chef (Brazilian woman) is the gem at this property. The rest of the staff needs to be more personable. The mattress was a little soft for our taste.

Jeff was very helpful especially when we missed the turn into the property. He also gave us a very good recommendation for dinner. Breakfast was a gourmet surprise and amazing.

Best Anniversary weekend EVER!Posted Jul 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
We loved our stay here! The flower gardens, the ponds and the views were breath taking! The staff members were lovely, scrumptious breakfast and our Casita was just gorgeous! I do not even have the words to express the beautiful stay we had at Blue Lake Ranch it was the best anniversary weekend of our 23 years and something that you have to experience yourself if you can!

Wow, this is a great place for a get away from the noise of Durango and yet close to all the attractions. The room was spacious, fixtures new, everything spotless, and a cute little private garden area with a cooking grill. the breakfast in the lodge was buffet style with lots of variety. We loved it.

Beautiful place to stayPosted Jul 20, 2014
The most peaceful place to stay. A beautiful placens to escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. Staff and especially kitchen are especially helpful in making sure you are taken care of. The main chef, a very kind lady, made a special early breakfast for us so we would not miss breakfast for a long hike we were going on for the day.

Outstanding diamond in the rough countryPosted May 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
This place really defies categorizing. Its not a hotel or a quaint bed and breakfast. Its like a Santa Fe sttle ranch house you call your own for a few days. The breakfast was excellent the Lake View we stayed in was really veautiful. We went as a family of four and the accomodations were more than enough for is. The grounds were beautifully manicured and we wi be coming back. The whole place was very romantic.

Very nice people. Suggest visitors get directions from hotel. Difficult to find on your own even with gps due to poor signal area around Durango
